Finally got what I wanted!

Hey ladies!

I know I don't have a lot to say on this board, but I do read it every time (more than once!) I get online! But, as some of you may recall, I graduated this past May from IU and now I am working on getting into a nursing program here in Bloomington. Well, after two pretty hard exams, I got my acceptance letter yesterday! Talk about thrilled! We weren't even supposed to find out til right before Thanksgiving break and my sister and I got our letters yesterday! My sister and I will begin the classes this January! I just wanted to share this with you all, because it relieves a HUGE about of anxiety (for right now!).

Have a GREAT day!

It has been a while since I have visited but I look at Greekchat everyday...just don't have much to say, until now! I started this thread telling you all that I got into the nursing program in Bloomington. Well, I graduated from the program on December 17th and this past Wednesday I took my state board exam. After some hard studying and reviewing and making myself sick with worry and anxiety, I got my results back on Friday....I PASSED!! My sister and I did the program together, graduated together, and passed together! So, I am just waiting for documents saying that I am a real Licensed Practical Nurse now!

The next step is to look for a part-time job as an LPN. The RN program that I want to do next does require some work experience as a LPN.

This is all every exciting for me and I wanted to share since many of you wished me luck when I first started this. Thanks again!

As a fellow nurse, CONGRATS!!!!! Boards are a killer and I'm proud of all your hard work. If you have any questions concerns or just want to vent as you get out into the working world or into RN school, feel free to contact me. The first year out of nursing school you will learn more than you could EVER immagine so keep an open mind, have fun and congrats on making a difference to your patients.

Roses,
Sarah
