Rain Man: 5 Years on GC; the Joe Pyne of BGLO Issues
My 5 year anniversary for being on GC is tomorrow, but I thought I would celebrate a little early (today is also an anniversary for me; I have been with my credit union for 15 YEARS)
I want to give a mad shout-out to all those GCers, past and present, to CT4, to AKA2D, to Bamboozled, to OA, to LoveSpell, to AKAMonet, to Dionysus/SH80(er/est), to Professor, to DoggyStyle, to 411, to LBF, and the list goes on and on and on.
I spent the day reading various controversial posts I made over the years, and to some of the newbies, if you think I am tough NOW, you haven't seen my posts from 3-4-5 years ago (click on my profile and click on "Search all posts by this user" and you will see what I mean.
Matter of fact, after reading an Internet article on a controversial TV talk show host from back in the 60s named Joe Pyne, I was nothing short of shocked to find out how similar the two of us are on our debating styles. Click on the article below, and I am sure you will agree.
The Joe Pyne Show
Lemme know what you think, how do you think my style has changed; those who were my enemies yesterday are my greatly beloved friends today!
HOLLA!

Hi, Skeephistakate. Hope you are enjoying your anniversary as an AKA. Oh, nice to see that you haven't changed a bit, you are just as happy and chipper as ever.
It's people like you that make my visits to GC all the more worthwhile.
Carry on...

Thanks Joe! It's people like you who make Napoleon Dynamite so much more relatable.

RM, I'm going to keep calling you RM, cuz that's my nature (I still call CVS 'Revco' sometimes, it happens). I don't know who this JP character is, and I like RainMan. Sorry kiddo, RM it is.
STILL dying @ the ND reference. That is HILARIOUS!!!

The Napoleon Dynamite joke is totally wasted on me, b/c I am straight right about now, but if you feel it is funny, I will take your word for it.
As far as who Joe Pyne is, just click on the link in the inital post and read about it, and I guarantee you will see similarities right off the bat.
And if you want to stick to Rain Man, well, whatever floats your boat...
Carry on...

If yo' mama calls you Cassius Clay...
I'ma callin' Cassius Clay...
Hey, whatever you want to be called dude... It just goes to show you that you have multiple personalities (disorder)...
But will it help with the skillz of your game???

HUH??!!
For the record, AKAMonet, I do have a Walter Mitty complex, and have had one ever since I was a child; however, it is not the same as having multiple personality disorder (ie, Sybil).
But it adds texture to my unique flavor (read: personality).

Hint: Snoopy is the epitome of a character with a Walter Mitty complex--his personality "bio" at snoopy.com even confirms this.

I think you need to stick with Rain Main, so you change your name at the drop of a dime. So when you hit milestones in your life, what are you going to change the name your momma gave you? I'm not even going to remember that Joe Pyne is you...for real go back to Rain Man....that is what you are known as on GC.

You will ALWAYS be RM. No matter WHAT you change your username to. If I'd ever meet you, you'll STILL be RM to me.
(IMO...I would not do it!)
