Awesome News

As you know from the "Kappa Sigs on this Board" thread, I'm a pledge at Gamma-Nu chapter. Over the past semester, I have used diligence and commitment and study my Bononia Docet. The work has paid off, as I have been invited to initiation, pending grade reports, as were 9 other pledge brothers out of a class of 13 - not bad. I look forward to coming back to the boards in late January, after experiencing the legacy of the Golden-Hearted Virginian and being able to call each of you a brother.

My hats off to the DSSS Pledge Class of the GN Chapter

Congratulations DocetBoy!

I've been seeing your posts, and i'm so proud to see a pledge as fired up about KS as you are. My chapter at Georgia State just initiated 17 guys last Saturday, and no matter how many times i've seen initiation it brings to me a new meaning, and reminds me why I love the order.

Congratulations again on your journey to the 12th gate, may you soon wear the badge proudly upon your heart.

Semper,

Percy Brown

Congratulations on being invited to wear the badge of the Order. I will never forget my initiation, and every day since has been amazing.

congratulations, my friend -

soon, we'll share an unbreakable bond, as you will with your 9 worthy friends and brothers - I'll deliver more pertinent messages when appropriate, but know you're taking the best voyage of your life.

(soon to be) AEKDB,

RC

Talking

An update: I've just found out from the house that they have recieved our grades and I have recieved above the initiation requirement, a 2.5

I am really looking forward to initiation next month now, and to be able to trade in the Caduceus for the Star and Crescent.

Until next month...

Terry Salmi

IMH

Well, IMH is certainly a well-run organization. They find out I am going to be initiated, so what do they do? Send a letter from WGM Thomas P. Bishop to my dad, asking for money for the Parents Leadership Circle.

I got all excited about getting a letter from P.O. Box 5066, especially since the outside said 'why your son is hoping I read this letter...' - making me think it was an invitation to initiation. The only thing that got me fired up about the letter is how it said 'Brother Terry L. Salmi' (I don't get initiated for a couple weeks...), which just looked and sounded pretty cool. I'm looking forward to when it will actually come true.

Haha, yeah...it is pretty cool being called a brother for the first time, even if it is only information regarding donations.

FYI, the week leading to initiation is starting this evening (can't call it I-week or hell week because it isn't). For various reasons, it is looking like my pledge class is now numbered at 6, but with strong and dedicated pledges still remaining. Wish me the best, and I'm hoping it leads to "the work of that saturday night." I'd post again once it's over.
