Help for a Graduate School Project - Parents needed!

Fellow GCers (especially those of you parents with boys who are in elementary school or middle school, or have access to parents of those aged boys), I NEED your help!

I'm doing a presentation for a graduate class on issues boys face in school (focusing on elementary school aged and middle school aged boys). I really need parents of these aged boys to answer the following questions:

What issues do you feel that boys face in school?

Do you feel that your boys are receiving the support they need in school?

Anyone that can help me with this would be wonderful! People can either PM me directly or email me at schoolpsych2005@yahoo.com

Thanks for your help in advance!

In Greek Spirit,
Jennie

Three of my sons are in that age group.

I think that boys are under incredible pressure to be "macho". If they don't excel in sports, they're way down the social ladder. They can excel in school as long as they do well in sports too.

Thumbs down

Unfortuneatly, Sports seems to be the norm today.

There are so many other ways that intellegence can be shown.

My Alam Mater is the Tech School of Kansas.

There are many of Not only My Brothers, but many otheres who excell coming from PSU!

Sports only last so long as the body does. Then What?
So, is it neccesary to be a Brain, so to speak, or someone who has other appitudes for many other areas.

All a parent can do carnation and others is try to keep them out of Trouble and find something that will keep them interested.

I don't have any children, but over here, boys score lower in reading and writing.
