Your strangest or most amusing experience in a fast food establishment?

Once at drive thru at a Taco Bell, the vehicle in front of me was a large moving truck. There was a large awning above the drive thru window, and the height of the truck exceeded it by about 2 feet. I sighed with impatience, knowing that it was going to be a clusterfuck once the truck got up there and realized it would have to back out, etc etc However, the driver didn't realize it, and tore the awning completely off the building, taking a large chunk of the roof with it. It wouldn't have been quite so funny, really, were it not for the fact that I was ordering my food simulataniously and got to hear everyone inside scream through the intercom. "Its a earthquake, is a earthquake!"

What's your strangest or most amusing experience in a fast food establishment?

ha! that made me laugh out loud.

My most amusing story isn't nearly as good.

One time I was at Prince George's Plaza (now known as The Mall at Prince George's) and a fight broke out in the food court. It wouldn't have been so bad.... but the girls then thought it was a good idea to use the trays as weapons.

Well, I am sure I cannot top the first story but here is my story:

At 15 I got my first job at Burger King (I needed to buy tickets to the Janet Jackson concert) and I was working the drive thru one evening when a lady comes through the line. She decides to order a Big Buford and I kindly tell her that we do not serve Big Buford hamburgers, we sell Whoppers, at this point she decides she can't hear me and drives to the window and asks what I said again. I tell her that we don't serve Big Buford hamburgers and she says, "Oh, yes that is Rally's" and she begins to laugh--very hard--so much so that her breast, which are rather large starts to blow the horn on her car!! I was biting my lip so hard not to laugh at that lady but I will tell you, that was my fondest memory at Burger King!

Back in the day, my friend's boyfriend worked the drive-thru window at Burger King. We would just drive up to the speaker and when he asked to take our order, we'd say "It's Diana and Lizz" and he'd tell us to drive on up. He knew what we always wanted and we got it free!

i have had numerous times when i scraped change from under my floor mat, drove to any random restaurant with a 99cent menu, got a hamburger and a cup of water...we've all had those "poor" times right? well for some reason half of these times, ive gotten the wrong order, usually some deluxe chicken combo with a super big coke. i usually dont notice until im halfway around the building, and by then i know if i take it back its going in the trash, sooo...god must really know when im hungry lmao! the same thing happens at larger restaurants too, ive gotten steak by accident, drinks, desserts....nobody ever takes it back and they dont charge it to my bill, so im like, what the hell? that has got to be the strangest luck...

Waffle house, about 3 in the morning near campus after a party. The cook and the server were having an argument (lovers quarrel?) and it got DIRTY. The server would be all the way on the other side of the restaurant and the cook would call her a name, she would yell something rude back, they threatened each other (i will take this knife and shove it up your ___) all while customers were in there! My group made it through about half of our meal before the cook & server actually got to fighting! I still don't know how they got to the point where they laid hands on each other because this particular waffle house ALWAYS had a police officer on the premises (i guess to prevent dine & dash).

normally, this would dissuade me from patronizing a restaurant, but i still go there sometimes. LOL.

Ordered 55 #1s from Whataburger around 3:00 in the morning for a bunch of people.........by myself. Needless to say they were pissed, but then I tipped the entire kitchen about 20$ a piece so that made it just fine.

Hahaha you are such a hero! If you'd done that when I was working at KFC I seriously would have kissed you.
Out of curiosity, what is a #1 at Whataburger? They're not in New England.

My mother drank a large soda from a certain FF place, and noticed something rattling around when she finished...it was a soda fountain paddle!

Oh! Oh! Now I remember - I DO have a story!
I was going on a date to The Alley theatre in Houston. My date was a poor starving college student, so we decided to just grab a burger before the show. This was in the 80s when downtown was DEAD. We drove - and drove - and the neighborhood got scary looking - but we found a brick burger place. You placed your order, then sat down and waited for them to call your number. We were one of two groups in the place. Suddenly, the doors flew open, and two guys in leather jackets (looked like extras from West Side Story!) burst in, and began rolling around on the floor trying to stab each other with knives.
The other group continued to eat.
Suddenly, we hear our number called. Unfazed by the fighting, the cook continues to call our number until Ken gets up, jumps over the thrashing guys, and gets our food. I can take about 2 bites before I say "This is crazy. We have to get out of here." So we grab our food, and run to the door, jumping over the still-tangled fighters.
And then to top it off, poor Ken got a speeding ticket going to the theatre. I wonder why he never called me again. . . .

Well, this isn't fast food, but an experience from when I was working in a restaurant one summer when I was 17.

I was a hostess, but on one day the restaurant was really busy and short handed with wait staff. One of the waitors asked me to help him by taking a table's food out to them, which I was happy to do. Well, the table was full of businessmen (in their 30s I'd say) out to lunch, and when I asked them if I could get them anything else, one of them says to me, "How 'bout a hot tub and a rub down?" I was totally speechless and embarrassed...and you could see that his coworkers were that he had just said that to a teenage waitress at their business lunch!

Cheeseburger, fries, and a drink.
