Tlc

Is anybody attending any of the regional TLCs? I'll be going to the one for Area G in Pittsburgh on Feb 4-6th. The agenda for it looks great with a few really good outside speakers scheduled.

It seems so soon after Convention!

I wish mine was as close to home as yours is to your home! I can't decide whether to fly or drive...

I live about 15 min from the Atl airport so I would be spending more time waiting than flying...but then Alpharetta doesn't have an airport, lol.

Feb 4-6th in Pittsburgh... I'm worried about a repeat of St. Louis, snowed or iced in, but without Marie and company to keep us entertained! Ugh!

Can I come to Alpharetta instead? LOL (besides, I have a not boyfriend who lives in Alpharetta now)

Was originally planning to go to Dallas for Area D (January 14 - 16), but recent family drama has caused a change of plans.

Oh well. Maybe next time

Change of plans...we can only send 2 advisors so I'm letting the new Rec. Advisor go in my place. If there is an open space, I may be able to. I figure it would be a wonderful way for her to bond with the new VPR and learn new ideas...and of course meet agdrie! Plus I assume Kalina will be there!!

My chapter goes to that one! Unfortunately - I can't go because Recruitment is that week here. I don't hold an office that requires you to go, either... it's going to be quite interesting having our recruitment run all the way from Pittsburgh though. Thank God for cell phones!

I heard that everyone was told that we can buy more AGD stuff soon, but we can't have local companies make us t-shirts. Did anyone hear about that?

Phew! I'm totally and completed wiped out and exhausted but I had a WONDERFUL time in Pittsburgh! Such a rush of Alpha Gam spirit and enthusiasm!!!!! The energy the presenters and International Council brought to our workshops was incredibly rejuvenating and I just absolutely love Rie to death! She is so positive and enthusiastic.

Alpharetta is going to be awesome because they have been fine tuning all along, after getting feedback from the first TLCs. Area G went really well. If only there had been more hours for SLEEP. Of course, staying up half the night gabbing with my sisters is MY fault and nobody else's! LOL

Alpha Gamma Delta is working on enforcing the licensing of their trademarks, which include the words Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Gam, our coat of arms and our badge so that only licensed vendors can make things with our marks. However, the number of licensed vendors is going to skyrocket and IHQ will help chapters work with local vendors that you always use to get them licensed so that not too much will change for you. There will also be some awesome features like a web site where you can put in what you're looking for and you'll get back 3 bids from vendors so you can choose which one is the best deal! This is being done for two reasons: 1) to keep merchandise off the market that doesn't fit with our ideals (like thongs with our letters on them) and 2) to keep from LOSING our marks by not enforcing them. Apparently you can lose the mark if you haven't made an effort to enforce it. 16 other NPC groups have ALREADY done this, so chances are your local vendors are already licensed by those groups and know the process they will have to follow. Oh yeah! Alpha Gam also receives royalties from the sale of licensed items also. As a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, you may use the marks to make things for yourself, but you cannot sell them or make money from them. So you can still decorate scrapbooks, make picture frames, cross stitch, etc. and it won't affect you. It's going to be a good thing down the road, although it sounds extreme initially.

alphagamzetagam: Your chapter wasn't the only one conducting recruitment via cell phone! There were a few chapters who had pref while we were in Pittsburgh!

Inspire the Woman!!!!!!!!
