S.Carolina colonization?

Does anyone know how it's going? I'm not sure if we participated in formal recruitment or not.

I'd love an update from anyone that knows.

I was just told by someone who was there that it was a huge success!! 150+ new members!

Update:

the 2002 president of my chapter is the rush advisor at the USC colony, and she was in town for the game this weekend. She told me that rush was absolutely successful, and we took in 156 girls, only 8 of which are seniors! She also said they're beautiful, talented women and she is very excited about helping out there.

That's awesome news! It seems like that puts us right around total there.

FYI: Unless there's been another motion passed since I left sorority council, total is 100, but chapters are allowed to pledge to chapter average (which is probably around 150 at this point). Congratulations! I was one of the ones responsible for making the decision to bring y'all on, so I'm glad you were successful. I actually thought they were waiting until Spring to start recruitment, but like I said, I'm a little outdated since I've been off Sorority Council for two years now.

FYI (from the gphib message board)...........

Our latest extension at the University of South Carolina was extremely successful. We have approximately 140 new members in the colony class (total is 120). Please help me welcome our newest colony into Gamma Phi Beta. Thanks to the entire extension team for their hard work and a great job!!! Jana Nobles, Director of Collegiate Extension

Oops. Sorry, I guess they did decide to raise total.

I just found out tonight that one of the charter members at the chapter at USC is from where I live! Y'all got a good one!!!

According to the January 05 newsletter on the USC greek page, your group took an additional 26 girls this spring.
