University junior found dead in off-campus apartment

Junior Laura Mazzola, 21, was found dead in her off-campus apartment on Tuesday, Feb. 8. According to Kathy Byrnes, the vice president for Student Life, no cause of death was known at the time of press. No foul play was suspected.

Mazzola was a communications major and a member of the sorority Alpha Chi Omega. She was from Montville, New Jersey. Her funeral will be on Feb. 12 . . . .

A sad time for Alpha Chis at Villanova, her family and friends, and for the entire Villanova community, I'm sure.

It's so sad. Too many people have been passing away too young lately. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends, family, sisters of AXO, and Villanova students during this difficult time.
