Catalog Shoppers?

I tend to get thousands of catalogs (literally - one year, I counted them!), and love looking for the odd piece or two that is just... perfect.

I thought that this would be a good thread to start, where we can list some things that an ADPi might enjoy - items that aren't available through the Gift Mart, of course!

I'll start with these: from the National Wildlife catalog, there is a set of porcelian (read: microwaveable/dishwasher) violet dishes, with a LOT of extra pieces! Some of it is here.

Here's the pattern:

The platter:

The teapot:

There are many more pieces; just go up or down a page or two!

Wow! I am love with those! Of course, my husband would think that they are too "foo foo!" Plus, he went to a college that had no Greek System so he is so baffled by all of this!

Thanks for sharing the great link. I've added it to my favorites so I can dream!

They are on SALE!

I Loved those dishes so much that I bookmarked the site. I just checked it again and it looks like they are on clearance - the set is now only $39.97. Just thought I'd pass it on so you could order, now that they are cheaper. Looks like other violet items are sold out, though. Happy Shopping!

One of the catalogs I have at home has some really interesting lion items!! I'll have to see if they're online & post them, because they have:

1) A three-dimensional large lion's head.
2) Lion light switches (!).
3) Lion Bookends (!!).
4) Lion drapery scarf holders (two types, but not as cool as the ones that Alpha Iota currently has - they look like the Anne Klein doorknocker earrings).

etc. I want to be a millionaire so I can get all these cool things for Alpha Iota!!

Will post more tonight!

Okay, the website is www.touchofclasscatalog.com (for starters). Most of this stuff is not what I consider a touch of class, but hey, they have these very cool lions!

1) Lion Switchplates

2) Lion's Head Drapery Brackets

3) Lion Bookends

4) Lion Head Wall Sculpture

Yeah, I think I'd have to repaint it or something. I really loved the light switchplates & the bookends, though!

(and I'm hoping that others will contribute to this thread with ADPi-type items!!)
