Evidentaly a lot happening!!!!
I was gone for the weekend for our 40 th Celebration of BX to LX (LX Z)! We had 51 Alums back, highest since 3 years ago with 80+
A fun packed weekend for sure. 3 Original BXs were there along with 6 of the 1 st LX Z "Pledge" class.
Some had not seen each other in 30 + Years. Each year, We get a few of the new oldies back and get them hook line and sinker.
While We did not have our Normal Ritual on Sat. Morn. We had a ZAX session, thanks to Brother Jono for suggesting this to me. It basically was a LX Z Facts Session like on GC and Reading and explaing things about the Ritual and showing Ritual Equipment with explanation.
THEN, off to The Property where we all gathred for pictures of Spading Dirt for OUR New House.
I have always seen pictures of Celebs. or Poloticans doing this in News Media.
Well, I became one of those Celebs. God did I have one of those silly grins on my face, down home, We call them Shit eatin Grins.
Then it was off to dicuss some important things.
3-11 as Jono knows is a Semi part of Founders Day Ritual.
We as the old farts set a record Fri. Night for the amount of Rockets Comsumed Fri. Night. Record broken Sat. afternoon.
Sat Night at Banquet, This is important for many reasons.
Dinner, but a slide show put together by one of the Alums was showing of Old Pictures of the Zeta in Action.
An award session.
The Auction:
Last year, we auctioned off items from Alums, bought by Alums For Benefit of Chapter= @ $2000.00.
This Year, $3640.00
This went to The Zeta of course.
Last year, were Bricks from the Old House were Big Winners. Bricks from the Old House and a Sliver Plaque glued to them.
This Year, Silver plated shovels, 2- I got one for $200.00, and Steve Spencer (Spook # 36), one of the Original LXA "Pledeges" did $300.00 for the other one. These are to be engraved for the occasion.
If you have not done this type of thing before, strongly suggest it!
House Corp. Meeting Sun. Morning. An Alum. brings a portable Griddle and does Pancakes and Sauge to help recuiperate from Sat Night! A Tradition, strange how things get started!
Well, other than that, I didnt do much over The Weekend!
