What did you do the first week after you crossed....first month?

Since I'm spanking brand new to the greatest fraternity of all time.

I'm curious to know what other people did after they burnt their feet for life, and walked into this HUGE, DARK, Oasis called Omega/Delta.

Hola back at a new bruh!

Well I'll bite. Didn't burn my feet and walked into a Crimson Oasis called Delta. But the first week I studied for finals, attended my first chapter meeting where I was elected vice president and DP, and participated in a community service project. And of course did a little partying.

No foot burning but did have to dust off some sand. After I finished collecting presents, I opened them, wrote thank you's, developed photos, found out where I was going on internship, polished up a quick step, had a party for us, finished prepping my dissertation so it could go through university review, went to my first chapter meeting, booked reservations for the convention, cried and SLEPT a LOT.

I cried a lot, out of thankfulness and joy. I also slept quite a bit. I didn't study for my finals. I was too exhausted by then, but I still did okay that semester.

I forgot to add that I spent time with family that didn't get to see much of me during my process.

I caught up on school work and permed my hair for what seemed like the first time in ages. That was before I started go natural on occasions.

Cool

Well, I too dusted off alot of sand!!!! Then I studied for finals, went to my first chapter meeting. Wrote thank you cards to all my gift givers. SLEPT....a whole bunch. And spent some quality time w/ mu hubby and kids (I was MIA at home during my process). I also would just look at myself in the mirror and say to myself "Your a Delta Woman now"...and then cry tears of joy.

I'm not a Delta...

I liked the thread so... i thought I would write. After dusting of the sand like many of you and applying a few band aids I went to as many parties as I could. Polished my strolls because Sigmas have to be tight (have to look good b/c folks dont see us much) Every song I heard I strolled to! Learned the two man from my DP (we are pretty close with the Omegas at my school) And tried to find some quality Sigma perry! (thats really hard to do) After all my celebrating I caught up on some much needed sleep and eating!

Hey SoRHOr.......

Let's see, after dusting off sand I finished moving into my new apartment. I cried, slept, slept, slept, slept oh and then I attended a grad chapter's event where the rest of the sand was brushed off for me. I also caught up on some family time and immediately started my internship and summer school.
