PGA - Scott McCarron

I had the chance to talk with Scott McCarron, UCLA '89 this week at the PGA, he's a pretty good guy - he's real receptive and actually even asked me if any other Beta brothers were coming to see him. If you guys ever get a chance to see him golf, mention you're a Beta and he'll probably talk to you for a little bit - he's not one of those egotistical celebrities, he's pretty down to earth.

Nice job to Scott McCarron in this past weekends tourney - tied for second place and taking home a whopping $457,600. Last year he only earned $790,000, so he is well on his way in trumping that.

PS, he helped me a ton with Yahoo's fantasy golf - how could you not pick a brother?

That's pretty tough.

If I was into golf it would be something to go see. Hell, does he ever play on the east coast? I might just go for the fun of it.

Yeah, he is a PGA pro. and plays most of the tourneys. Just keep an eye open for it when you watch ESPN to see if an event is coming near you - if it is, check out the internet to see if he is playing, and if he is, check him out. Make sure you give him a shout-out... if you can, try to see him during the practice rounds, otherwise during normal play, you'd probably not want to say anything to him...it might disrupt his game AND get you removed from the course! ha ha
