Talking Life After AI

So I've read plenty of wonderful success stories (enough to keep me hopeful anyway). I love to wait for the good news, and I keep my fingers crossed for all of the other PNAMs...

But here's what I REALLY want to know...

How are things going for all of you Greek Chatters who found your homes through AI? Are you having a great time? Are you involved with alumnae groups or collegiate chapters? Both? Neither? Have you helped with recruitment or recs? Are you growing closer with your new sisters? Buying tons of lettered stuff?

AI-hopefuls are dying to know!!!!

I know I haven't posted in ages - between finishing my master's and getting a new job, I've been very busy!

In terms of life after AI, I'm an active member of the local alumnae chapter, and I'm making preliminary plans to go to our 2006 convention. It's in Orlando, near Disney World, so I'm talking my fiance into making it a vacation so we can spend a few days there after Convention's over.

I haven't jumped into collegiate involvement yet, but I'd love to in the future.

Thumbs up

Just Look Around and see some on GC!

Have become very active with respective GLOs!

I wont even begin to list them as THEY are here!

L M, keep the hope up. navane I think holds the record of Length for PNAI.

Yepper, it is not just as easy as some would think. It is earned harder than just Recruitment in Undergraduate School.

Ask navan and JillyBean for true facts!

I am an active member of the Dallas Alum Chapter. I try to attend all the activities I can. Since SMU has deferred rush, I haven't gotten to help yet (I was initiated in March), but I plan to do it this year. I'd like to get more involved, but I am also going through the line in Eastern Star, so for the next 3 years I will probably not be as active in Gamma Phi as I would like.

Hi, Tom ....not to argue....but I know of another AI who took at least a year longer to be initiated.

Alum involvement with AOII is excellent, and mother and I have a wonderful time! Thanks so much for asking!
Happiness to all of the AI's on GC.

I'm having an absolute BLAST!

I was lucky enough to be tapped to be Chapter Advisor for a local chapter, and I'm also an officer in the Alumnae Chapter in town. We've all been so busy because the chapter has moved into panhellenic housing, and there's no shortage of work to be done.

Working with collegians is a very rewarding experience. Sure, it can be maddening at times, but I can say that my post-initiation experience has been amazing!

I am an AC officer and an International Volunteer. Last month, I assisted with a recruitment lock-in for a collegiate chapter. I wasn’t able to be there for FR but they did AWESOME!!!!! So far, I have written 5 MIFs (recs) and we took 3 of those girls!

Unfortunately Tau chapter's Junior Circle isn't all that active right now , so there really aren't all that many events that is AGD-specific. However, I am very active with the alumnae panhellenic and I'm planning an alumnae presidents' dinner which will occur in the winter. That should be fun!

New AIs must Remember, it is what you put into Your New GLO that makes it worth while!

You and only You are the Main Factor.

Just like if You were an Original Recruited Person in College.

You get out of it what you put into it!

I'm involved with TAAP (Toronto Area Alumnae Panhellenic), and recently planned an alumnae presidents' roundtable reception (discussed ideas of how to get the word out about TAAP, and to get more alumnae, especially young alumnae involved ) I'm hoping to become more involved with Alpha Gam itself this year.
