ZTA Stuff on EBAY
*edited as a completely different entry
Laides...
I was on E-Bay and have decided to start this as a place where we can announce things that we find on e-bay that ONLY ZTA members should be able to have.
I have already found two...
NM PIN AND BADGE
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...906803150&rd=1
CREST PENDANT
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...906464253&rd=1
Keep us posted if you buy the items... I'd hate to see this stuff go to the wrong hands!

Jenny,
Thank you for doing this. I am a seller/buyer on ebay and any time I have an auction for my shirts or any other zeta materials...I verify that the high bidder is a Zeta. And I would NEVER sell anything such as a badge or crest. Anyhow..thanks for being such a sweet and protective Zeta!

Re: VINTAGE BADGE
I won this one after he lowered the price. It is from the 1920's and should arrive any day.
I also bought one that has a Gamma Phi guard. It is dated 1954 and was owned by one of the first pledges at North Texas.

I finally got both badges!! The Gamma Phi chapter badge is amazing. It is white gold with pearls and 4 diamonds on the points. The owner also agreed to sell me her pledge pin which I now have. That brings my total "collection" to 16. I'll be bringing them to Convention along with some other goodies.

Found a couple badges...
Here's one...has lots of opals and is absolutely gorgeous.
Here's another, with opals and rubies.
Yet another one.

Yes, there are many badges for sale right now. Probably because there are a handful of Zeta Ebayers that bid against each other and on top of other Zetas, driving up the prices and thereby creating a bigger market for the very badges they are supposedly trying to save.
Just my $.02.

A seller called "americanaquarium" just listed a pearl badge and chapter guard for $105.00.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...921429469&rd=1
He had responded to me via e-mail for a post I had listed on an "orphan jewelry" site looking for badges. I made him an offer for this same badge, but I am guessing he is too greedy and so instead of ever responding to my e-mails, he listed it on e-bay for way too much money.
If anyone ever trys to buy from him, watch out. He seems a little slick to me.
He has another badge with pearls and emeralds (6, on the points) that he has not listed yet or replied to my e-mails for. I made him 2 offers on this.

I went back and checked the ebay names thread and saw that apd1806 is also a ZTA, and she is currently winning the pledge pin and ruby badge auctions. Let's hope all three of these ZTA items find their way to Zetas! ZLAM, Courtney

I'll second that! Especially that ruby badge to me . It looks very cool, and I don't think I've seen one in white gold before.
I just increased my bid, but will probably wait until the collectors have chimed in before doing that again.
But besides the badges, e-bay has been a really fantastic way for me to obtain pieces of ZTA history that I really enjoy, such as 1st editions for both volumes of ZTA history. Hopefully, I will be able to share these things with a daughter someday, after she pledges ZTA of course.

Can y'all clarify and tell me if it is inappropriate for me to bid on an item if a Zeta is already winning? I too really love the white gold and ruby pin, but do not want to hurt anyone's feelings.
Also, I am trying to locate an Opal pin. I have transferred and am Affliating this fall with the North Texas Gamma Phi chapter. I am hoping to find a new pin to wear with this new chapter. Thanks for anyone's help!!!
