CLEARANCE STORES, not OUTLET stores...

Okay, I am trying to figure out where the "true" clearance stores are... not the outlet malls but the "truly something is wrong with this sh**" stores...

Now I am coming to find that the "true" clearance stores are not listed and only locals know about them... for example there is a GAP clearance store located in Northern Kentucky... some even dare to say that it is in Cincinnatti (just like they try to pass the Airport and Riverbend off as located there... but they aren't).

So do YOU know where a true Clearance store is located?? I heard rumors of a few being located in Nashville, TN but not sure about that...

Stores like Ross and TJ Maxx always have things that say "Irregular" on the tag. So I don't shop at those stores anymore. I don't want to spend $ on irregular clothes, when I can put that $ towards good clothing.

Not that this will be in your neighborhood, but here Dillards has a big clearance store, fondly called "Dillards Dump." They have all sorts of clothes and shoes for cheap prices, but you really have to dig through because they aren't real organized.

There used to be a Dillards Clearance Center in downtown St. Louis. I got a gorgeous blue gown there for $29, marked down from over $200 originally.

Too bad it's closed now.

Yeah, Marshall Field's has a warehouse that has a few sales a year open to the public. Try contacting a local department store near you and see if they have warehouse sales.

try Rugged Warehouse. Most of there stuff is simply labeled the wrong size or like one sleeve is 1/4" longer than the other, or one thing I found the tag inside the shirt was in spainish, other than that it was fine.

There is a GAP clearance outlet in Lancaster, PA. I haven't been there in a loooong time, but it's definitely there!

In N. Arizona, Nordstrom have it's last chance store.. They tell all employees about it during orientation. Some good stuff does go there, but there are local hawks who always grab things up and the store employees have first dibs on goods...... Most of it is just returned and refinished items(shoes) , and items that did not sell at Nordstroms rack. They also sell utter crap there- Since nordstroms return policy is so lenient, in some cases non nordstrom merchandise is returned... It gets sent there.

Neiman marcus also has a last call store in Primm Nevada.

Hey thanks. I was meaning more along the lines of the "name brand" items. I know that places like Fashion Shop and TJ Max purchase a lot of the saleable but just didn't sell items for their places. Which in my experience has been a very worthwhile shopping venture. Having never been a "label gal" these places work for me. Though I did get a nice pair of Tommy Jeans there once.

I was just wondering were the "last chance, dump, clearance" stores are located. I was coming from Ohio last week and made a stop by the GAP's Clearance store. I got a BR dress shirt for $7.00 with nothing wrong but for a dirty place. I took it home and washed it... it looks like I bought it off the rack at the store. Original price $60,my price $7.00... score!

I would love to find the last chance stores for the Limited corp. and American Eagle. I at one time knew the Limited Corp because I worked there but I can't remember more!

So if ANYONE knows where these stores are located I would appreciate it if you passed the info on to me!
