Question What's wrong with "Coleman Love"?

I know a soror said this was a tired topic, but I am dealing with this first hand right now, but, due to 'others' viewing this thread, I will not go into detail. And I didn't see any threads dealing with it. So, I have some questions regarding Coleman Love. I'd love to hear comments from those on both sides of this argument.

1. Why do some people care if this term is used or not, along with the word bruh? Especially if Delta business is still being handled......WELL!!!

2. Is it the same issue regarding coining terms for bonds with other fraternities? (i.e., Crimson/Krimson love with the Kappas and Fire and Ice with the Alphas?) We use these a lot where I'm from as well, and there never seems to be a problem, just wondering if others have any experience with this.

Since my boyfriend is an Omega, I use this term a lot, and I am not always met with the best reception. I'm just wondering why.

Soror, we have talked in great detail about this topic, my advice to you is to do a search (there is about 5 or so different topics about this issue) If you type in "Coleman Love" you will get all the results.

There, you will see different opinions about coleman love (sorors who agree, disagree, etc.)

Happy Searching!!!

Thumbs up Thank You

Not only in the DST forum but also in OPP. The topic of Coleman Love is not "tired" per se but there are always other aspects debated. It usually gets out of hand because dissenters of Coleman Love debate with embracers of the Coleman Love.

If you still need help after reading the various threads, please let us know.

Not knowing your situation or anything, let me say this: Love your boyfriend, LOVE DST & ME , and IF you want to embrace COLEMAN LOVE -- GO FOR IT!!
