We are driving to Denver...how's the weather?

Heading out to Colorado from the 'ham..we'll be leaving in about an hour.

How's the weather in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas?

Any traffic/interstate problems I need to know about?

Kansas weather should be clear.

There is no prediction of snow and the temperature will be climbing everyday until it reaches a high 55 on Friday and Saturday.

So you guys should be ok.

Have a safe trip!

Too late to be useful to you -- but it is GORGEOUS in CO today. It's a little cloudy and highs should be around 60 east of the mountains.

Too late here, too, but if you stop overnight and check in, it's spectacular in Colorado. High in the 60's today and tomorrow.

Only snow forecast is in the mountains.

Travel safely and enjoy Colorado.

Thanks for all of the advice and help! The weather was wonderful driving...we made it to Wichita the first night, and pulled into Arvada, CO, about 5:30 p.m. last night. I was a little surprised that there wasn't that much snow, but it is cool.

Stop by DeltAlum's house. He'll feed you and put you and your friends up for as long as you want. He's great like that. Tell him, Rudey sent you. He'll love you more.

Up to around 60 today!

Wish I had son DA follow you. He took the wrong interstate where it splits just South of Wichita and lost about three hours on the way home.

Kid has a 4.0 GPA, but doesn't own a map.

Anyway, welcome to Denver. Hope you enjoy your stay and the holidays in Mile High America.

Call me for MapQuest directions to Rudey's house.

But DeltAlum said you and your husband can take his bed. It's much better. Well next time you're in Denver, just make sure to take him up on the offer. And remember his clothing fits and his car drives, so don't be shy!

Hey...I know that mistake. When we were driving, we had a mapquest directions map. We were trying to find a hotel and went up to exit 50 and got one there, then got on I-35N. We looked at directions, and realized we should have gotten off at exit 42 to take the right interstate. It was after that, I went in the gas station and bought a mini map. That's the first and LAST time I will drive w/o a real map in the car.

Husband frustrated about losing time, and I just calmly reminded him that he once made a 30 mile mistake on a trip to Florida.

When is your son heading back? We are leaving early Monday morning. I'm not sure which route we might take going back...may go southern on I10.

DA, perhaps we'll meet again some day when we will be in town longer.

Tom, I'll keep you posted.

Merry Christmas to all of you guys.

---Cheryl

--Rudey, we'll stop by for Christmas leftovers.

I'll look forward to it.

I think he'll head back toward the end of the week -- if he can find enough to do until then.

He is only in touch with a few of his high school friends, and a couple of them are out of the country.

More for him to do in Norman for New Years.

Drive carefully...Looks like the weather is on your side again.

Well, guess by the time You get back, You will read this.

Actually, I-70 East to St. Louis, South in Ill. and then through Kt and Tenn. Turn Right just East of Chattanooga and go South.

Thanks for all of the fun notes!

Christmas was a blast..except for one thing. Both mr. trojangal and I got horribly horribly sick while we were there. Had the swollen throat, fevers, all that fun stuff.

It was no fun driving back not being 100%--we took longer ( 3 days)...stayed in Wichita the first night; stayed in Memphis the second night, and got home on Wednesday afternoon. Got hold of the doctor, who has us on superantibiotics---.

How's the weather out there now? Glad we missed the snowstorm....
