Lou Sheldon's Traditional Values Coalition Proposes Amending California Constitution to Discriminate against Lesbian and Gay Families

We have just learned that Lou Sheldon's Traditional Values Coalition has plans to announce, at a press conference today, an effort to amend California's Constitution to deny same-sex couples equal protection under the law. Equality California Vice-President, Ron Oden (Mayor of Palm Springs), other EQCA Board members and I plan to attend the press conference, after which we will provide you with further details on TVC's plans.
But there are three things you can do right now to ensure we are prepared to defeat this hateful effort:
(1) Send an email through EQCA's California Advocacy Center to your elected representatives urging them to immediately and publicly oppose any attempt to write discrimination into the California Constitution. Go to
