Might as well get yourself some Miller Lite.

Fat Tire, but I don't know if they have that by you.
ETA: If they don't have it and you're not going to get anything good, PBR is your best choice.

I read lifesaver's post quickly, and I thought that he wanted Kosher beer.

Fat Tire is awesome...I've only had it a couple of times, but I wish they sold it around here.
If you hadn't said Lite beer, I would recommend Killians. However, I'd go with Coors Light as a generic light beer.

Well, that would be easy! It would be He'Brew--The Chosen Beer. They sell it at the deli around the corner. But, all beers might be kosher. I don't know.
I was about to suggest all my favorites (Brooklyn Lager, Stella) but remembered that you're not buying an import, and you probably can't get Brooklyn Lager. So, yeah...PBR is probably your best bet. People might complain, but that keg will be tapped.

Shiner should be plentiful in kegs out in the Republic of Texas...
Just remember, when it comes to keg beer, nobody's ever gonna complain about the swill, especially if it's ice-cold. Just avoid Old Millwater or Milwaukee's Beast like the plague.
If ya must do Coors, get the regular and not the Light. I dunno why, but I can't hack the taste of Piss Light.

If you have to get light, it's gotta be Miller.

I don't like light beer. If I had to drink a light beer, it would be Miller Lite.
That said, don't do it. Get real beer. You should be able to get a keg of premium beer. When I lived in Tallahassee, Mike's Beer Barn had a great selection of beers, and with just a few days notice, almost any beer was available in a keg.

I think Andy was more getting at the twin spectres of good beer:
1 - it's cost-prohibitive in keg form (generally a 1/2bbl of even something like Sam will run over 100 when it's all said in done, and a 1/6bbl of a great american beer like grant's perfect porter will run 60 . . . )
2 - most people flat-out don't like good beer, and would prefer light beer by a large margin
--
I'd say that Coors Light is something everyone will be able to drink, while Bud Light is the most popular in the US (but miller people will whine like children) - frankly though most people can't tell w/out peeping the keg what it is.

If I had to drink light beer, I'd cry wee wee wee all the way to the liquor store to get something else.
