Question Stepshow Themes

Hey! I was just wondering what stepshow themes you have seen that you thought were on point? Like even though alot of people did Charley's Angel theme this year, I enjoyed seeing different teams twist on it.

it's a chapter in texas, the univ of houston, that have won every step show they've been in with this jail breakout theme. i've seen it and it's tight. they threw in some stuff from the movie "life" too.

i didn't see it, but i head about a delta step team, also in texas but i can't remember which school, that had a little girl and her mommy shopping for dolls. there were girls dressed in the other sorority's colors and the little girl would pull a string on all of them and they would say things like "hi! i'm [something] and i'm the first...etc..." and the little girl was like "no, mommy, i don't like that one" or something like that. of course, the little girl ended up choosing the delta doll. i wish i could have seen it because it sounds really cute

The Delta Delta Chapter of DST has won the statewide stepshow for the past three years in a row and all campus step shows.

Police women with red wigs(2001)- who had to arrest other sorority members for fighting each other, harrassing people for food and members. They used some old LL Cool J songs, I think that had sirens. This was a good theme because for our probate show we came out as prisoners and they wore their police uniforms.

2 years ago my chapter did a POW/MIA thing, we came out with hoods on and had on war gear, it was off the hook. Needless to say, that is why we have won the stepshow for the past 4 years(ha!)

I must say, there is pressure every year to be the best. I say get your theme together at least 5 months in advance!

I was in a stepshow this year. Our theme was "firewomen" because the Deltas set the yard on fire .

We came out in fireman hats. We had red siren lights on stage too. It was tight.

I was at a stepshow at the University of Georgia and saw the same thing, except it was the AKAs who did it. The Deltas took the crown though. Their theme was pretty tight...I believe it was the Harlem Renaissance (sp?). They ripped it.

The show that blew me away was the Deltas from Hampton University in Virginia. They came to The Florida Invitational Stepshow (held every year in February) and they were SO TIGHT!!!

They had about 20+ people stepping with Japanese kimonos (sp?) all in perfect coordination and harmony. They did a really cool scene where they were stepping relaly hard and then one Delta yelled something like "let's show them slower", so you can see and did everything in slow motion. Then right after that, someone yelled out "REWIND!" and did the whole fighting slow motion scene all over again while the black lights and white lights were flashing!

Needless to say they won first place!
