in this thread we discuss the new bachelor
So they just picked the new bachelor and I'd like to go on record saying that I think they should've picked the other guy. Who wants to end up with a dude who fishes for a living and has crow's feet the size of Nevada?

Okay, I should revise my earlier post -- I have to give Byron credit for saying he'd marry a woman who doesn't want kids when Jay said he wouldn't. He gets major points for that.
WTF was he thinking by picking that weird ass Krysta woman? She's the ugliest one there but has the most awful attitude, although she'll be amusing for the drama factor.

I'm basically giving up on these shows. I don't know if I'm going to be interested in seeing Bachelorette 3 in the winter. I too thought the professional fisherman shouldn't have been picked. In fact, I think he's freaky looking.

It's half over here in Germany...I'm so sad that Jay was sent away. He just seems more sincere to me. I wish that he and Tanya would've been able to hook up. They seem like a cute couple. Maybe, the ones that liked him better will get to contact him afterwards! That would be nice.
...now for the second half. Looks interesting!

Thoughts about last night
ABC exes: Stop trying to make Krsta this season's Trish. Krsta is annoying. As much as I dislike Trish, she was very pretty. Krsta is just not attractive. The whole 'psycho- woman- who -would- do whatever- it -takes- to- get- the- man- on -national television storyline was so 5 seconds ago.
Krsta: SHUT UP. YOU ARE NOT TRISH. YOU COULD NEVER BE TRISH. SO STOP TRYING TO BE TRISH
Amy: Girl, I wish you had gotten a rose. It would have been fun to see you and Krsta go at it. Major props to you and those other girls for putting Krsta in check when she started trashing thar Kristie girl for no reason
Andrea: Feeling a connection already? You hadn't in been in the house 24 hours!! HITH are you feeling a connection already? HITH is the connection so strong that it made you cry? Get it together girl
Jayne: You are so cute. You are my early favorite. Hope that is not you having a nervous breakdown in the previews
Bryon: Not even the brightest of lights could make you look attratetive. Not seeing it AT ALL. But the girls thought you had some redeeming quailities (do no what they are) so I guess I stuck looking at your mug this season

Jay should have been the Bachelor.
Byron can take all the showers he wants, but he'll always look dirty to me.
We all know Krysta will stick around for a number of episodes solely for the drama factor.
I don't understand how the fuck any stupid bitch can "feel heartbroken" after some guy you've only known for less than 24 hours. Quit your crying honey, he's not all that.
I still don't understand why anyone could just willfully put themselves up on the auction block like that...and some of these girls are actually smart!
Hooray for the two new girls they'll add later on. It's on now.

I liked Jay better. I liked what I saw of him on all the morning shows before the show aired, and he just looks more distinguished. Nontheless, I'm sure I'll be watching every week

This show really baffles me -- it seems like every season, the women get more and more catty to each other, and I don't get it. What's the point of being all mean to each other to compete for the guy? What's the point of wanting to "win" at any cost?
The mature, sensible way to play the game would be to try to spend as much time with fisher dude as possible to see if your relationship with him develops and if you both really dig each other. Being mean to the other women has absolutely no bearing on that at all, and why would anybody want to win if she wasn't really into him or he wasn't really into her? You could go through the whole game being perfectly nice to the other women, and I don't see how it would hurt you at all as long as you don't tell them too much of your business.
I thought that dental woman from Denver was freaky too, the way she was crying about her connection with him even though it looked like she had spent almost no time with him. They must get some pretty unstable women as contestants -- I've never met anyone in real life who is such a freak about wanting to land the dude, and they're all talking crazy shit about how they can see themselves marrying him after 30 seconds. It's a fascinating world that I do not understand.

When I first started watching the show, I thought, "these women are an older group than the past shows...they're will be less cattiness as the women will be more mature...."
As I continued watching the show, my mind changed...now I'm realizing how much more desperate some of these women are which will only increase the cattiness....
I think someone needs to send them a DVD of "Mean Girls." They're acting just as catty.....

I admit that I watched it. Well I mostly fast forwarded through it.
Krista: wasn't she the chick who was all like "the man has to know how to order a good bottle of wine" and her attitude was like "he has to take care of me".
You know what gets me about this show every time is the fact that the women don't know how to deal with "their boyfriend dating 14 other women". HELLO that is the game. Morons. Yes, I do realize that women are going to start falling for him, I get that. But geez these women act like he is the "only man for them".

I think the older women can sometimes be more catty bc they feel like they have to prove themselves better than these younger girls and they have a lot more on the line so to speak.
Also, I am always surprised more women don’t turn the bachelor down. It’s like all these girls going crazy for this guy, how do all these women think he is attractive? Maybe it’s just me and I am picky, but honestly if he isn’t my “type” I know right away. I’m not just talking looks wise.

I was a Jay fan too!
I'll admit it - I thought Jay should have been the bachelor. After the men's rose ceremony I turned off the tv and went to bed!

Awwww... it was so nice of Brandy to wear fishing lures in her ears last night to make Byron feel at home!
Seriously, she looked really bad. She's beautiful, but looked like crap last night!!
Comments/thoughts on the show? I didn't watch the premier so I don't know that much about the women.
