Man Allegedly Impregnates 16y/o Daughter...

Dad faces charges of raping daughters
16-year-old says abuse led to her pregnancy

By BILL OSINSKI
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 03/28/06

A 55-year-old Lawrenceville man has been charged with raping and
impregnating his 16-year-old daughter, and with raping his 19-year-old
mentally disabled stepdaughter.

Police said Early Arnold Connelly was charged with two counts of rape
and two counts of incest. Police do not yet consider him a fugitive,
though they think he is aware of the charges against him and has been
"actively avoiding the police."

Connelly, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 252 pounds, is
believed to have purchased a bright blue 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser on
Saturday. The car has a Carmax "drive-out" tag, according to police.

The matter became a case for the Special Victims Unit of the Gwinnett
Police Department after Connelly's estranged wife took their
16-year-old daughter to a hospital. After tests confirmed the girl's
pregnancy, she stated that she had been sexually assaulted by her
father, according to GPD spokesman Cpl. Darren Moloney.

The investigation revealed that Connelly may have also molested his
stepdaughter and that the abuse had been going on for several years,
Moloney said. In 2002, Connelly was charged with battery, but Moloney
said the disposition of that charge was not available.

The 19-year-old is not pregnant, but she is both mentally and
physically disabled.

Neither of the victims shares Connelly's last name, Moloney said. The
mother and father separated about four months ago, he said.

You know everyday our world becomes a more horrible and sickening place to live.

Seeing it is a Black man infuriates me even more. I weep for those daughters.

When it comes to raping a child, there IS no color! If he's convicted, I hope they make sure that he never impregnates ANYONE again!!

Oh, and sorry for crashing - this is a real hot button issue with me!

That's just disguisting and immoral on many counts. First of all, why would a man feel the need to rape someone? Why would a man in a relationship need to rape someone? Why would a man rape his child(ren)? He deserves everything that is coming to him. I feel so sorry for the girls and everyone affected. Now the young one is pregnant with her daddy's baby. There is no telling what her beliefs are on abortion. She may not believe in abortion, yet may not believe in having her father's child. This is a mess. A whole lot to think about. What a world.

I am strongly against abortion, but even I can condone it in this case. Besides the genetic effects, there is hardly any chance for that child to have a well-adjusted life knowing that it's father is also it's grandfather, plus the emotional impact of the 16 year old girl trying to mother the child. It would be hard enough to be a mother at 16, let alone the trauma of raising your own father's child, after being raped by him. It would be a reminder every day.

I know. For the last 4 weeks, there has been at least one news story a week about people finding abandoned/dead newborn babies. Just tossed away like a bad of trash. How sick!

That's terrible.

Just today, there was this article in the New York Times about a young woman whose father had been sexually assaulting her since she was 14. She became pregnant twice as a result. Both times, she gave birth at home. Her father threw the first baby down an air shaft, and she herself threw the second baby down the same air shaft.

There are some sick people in this world.

Both of these stories are absolutely sickening, infuriating, and too many other words. Those two criminals - who aren't fit to be called "men" or "human" - will get what's coming to them when they get behind bars.

I was wondering what happened to this young woman. The original post reminded me of this case.

Cases like this make me feel so sad. I will never understand how someone can harm a child, especially their own child, in such a vicious way.

If those fathers are released into the prison's general population, in a few minutes they'll have some justice. Not that I condone that, but I wouldn't be upset by it.

If my tax dollars get wasted on this man's trial, I'm going to be very, very pissed off. On the other hand, I'll gladly donate $10 for grenade launcher rental, as long as the ammunition is fired directly at him and no one else is harmed.
