A plot is a designated area on campus where a sorority or a fraternity decorates with the letters and colors of their organization. It serves as a gathering place on campus for members. I've only seen NPHC orgs make plots, and I've only seen them at HBCU's.

When you say it is a gathering place, it is on the ground? When I think of plot, I think of funeral plot.

We don't have "plots" at UNCC, but there are places on campus where certain orgs always hang out.

My school only has locals, but every local has a square. Basically, it's just that, a square of concrete, which is painted over several times a year, and is the meeting place for groups to take NM's accepting their bids at the set time by the administration.

I remember at Fisk they have sections of the street that goes right by the chapel and the cafeteria that were painted with different symbols/insignia. I remember Alpha Kappa Alpha also had a large ivy leaf with touch lights as the pearls (thought that was very cool). But no, we do not have plots here, but most orgs have a memorial tree somewhere on campus.

I worked for three years at an HBCU ( Miles College) and the plots were beautiful! Each organization had their plot, but also their own section of sidewalk near it on campus. What was neat about it was that not only the NPHC groups had plots, but so did Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma. A campus tradition seemed to be that the new lines would beautify the plots every spring so they always looked nice.

New to me also. But, Each Greek Organization when I was in Collge had their own place in the Student Center/Cafeteria to hang in.
Not in a special room but tables or booths. It was funny to see the chinese walls seemingly built around the areas!

Plots
Very cool idea for chapters without houses, its interesting to see how organizations create a physical location to unify around.
