Puffy's Citizen Change

Is anyone else getting a feeling that there is an underlying agenda behind this organization? Please don't get me wrong I am ALL for registering voters and getting the message out but there is something about this organization that I can't seem to put my finger on.

Bruh I'm not sure I can cause I'm not really sure whats buggin me about it..(I know that makes no sense..lol) ..but I'll give it a shot.. It seems like this org may become a springboard for a (possible)political career for Diddy. Not that it is a bad thing per se, it just feels to me that the voter registration drive is a cover for something else... I'm normally not a conspiracy theorist but something is up with this org. Again I applaude the registration efforts and the VOTE OR DIE slogan. 40 million between the age 18-34 is a powerful thing.

I think Puff is an opportunist. And since this election year is extremely important, why not jump on board.

For those who watch Girlfriends, last night Joan wore a VOTE or Die t-shirt. Also last week on One on One, it was dedicated to Election and Brianna voting for the first time. Clearly this year, voting in the Black community is no longer a secret. Glad to see we have a positive "new" trend.

Puffy the politician? Nah I see it more as hopefully Puffy knowing the influence he has within the hip hop community and capitalizing on that to make a change. Glad to see him doing something besides beat jacking, lol.

Yeah, I'm about to get a t-shirt from Against All Odds. I agree, Puf has the pull not only in the Hip-Hop community but in the entertainment industry. He's been everywhere with this voting. He's on 106 & Park every Tuesday. And he's had numerous specials on MTV. I've also noticed that MTV has been having "Breaking News" during the middle of shows to encourage people to vote. I swear if John Kerry does not win this election.

Has his radio spots been playing in your area? I was kind of when I heard him speak of the Civil Rights movement and how we received the right to vote in his campaign. I thought he only knew the words... "Bad Boy" "Remix" "C'mon" etc.

Black Voting & DEATH!

Hotep Brothers. It is really interesting that pseudo advertising and marketing practices are best being shown by the slogan, "Vote or Die." One MUST be aware of the FACT, that if BUSH is defeated DAMAGE CONTROL will take at least FOUR YEARS. I am certain that Bush's fellow "Skull" will be given the thumbs up by those who are BRAIN DEAD and are ever so forgiving and accepting of the ways and means of the POWER ELITE. Such individuals will perhaps annoint KERRY with the NAACP's bestowed-upon title of "2nd Black Prez" as them Arakansas NAACP folk did upon "SLICK WILLIE" aka the "White House Intern Hoochie-Coochie Killa." Will KERRY recant his stance on reparations? How can TWO snakes be differentiated? This is not to imply that BUSH is to be voted again, but the FACT of the matter is that for the great many BLACKS who are impoverished and struggling paycheck to paycheck they are in desperate need of IMMEDIATE help! Four more years is a LONG TIME!

LOL!! You make me laugh!

Yeah, I think the slogan is stupid. However, if it takes Puffy to get our young people to consider voting...well, I guess it's cool. But, a serious political education needs to follow this "Vote or Die" campaign.

Yeah, right. After the election, most folk will slip back into the political illiteracy that plagues us today. People fall prey to political advertising, and claim they have "no real choices" because they don't pay enough attention "off cycle" to know for themselves who is telling them the truth and who is lying to them at election time.

Sadly, we get the government we deserve. (I do give Puffy a lot of credit for what he's done with "Vote or Die.")

hell naw - i would not consider voting for puff even if he did run for office.

we all just need to vote - if blacks vote in great numbers, regardless of who we vote for, folk will target agendas and platforms that are of interest to AA.

the great phil lambda will support the efforts of their own brother by helping his naacp branch with canvassing this weekend - i encourage all to take your souls to the polls . . .

tude - i'm taking a break and thought i'd check in with my folks.
