Question New AMs & insurance fees

Question for my brothers: When you associate a man, how does your chapter handle the insurance issue?

The AM fee is required, I know, but do you also charge the semester insurance fee as well, plus chapter dues? Fullerton has been charging the AM fee + dues, but leaving the insurance fee out.

The good news is that we had a great fall rush. Bad news is that they are 16 - 18 men worth of insurance money short.

Actives of the chapter have always covered the semester insurance out of the chapter budget... least we can do for new members Anyways it isn't that much (or it wasn't the last time I looked at the chapter's books).

Both the colony at UIW and the chapter at UT-San Antonio charge AM fee, Insurance and Semester Dues. I beleive both groups allow the AM Fee to count for the first months dues and Initiation Fee to count as the last months dues. So dues are only charged for all the months, save first and last.
