Question Vacation Dream

Hi I was thinking if you could visit any place in the world where would it be, how long would you stay, and what would you do while there.

Well, I have a few places that I would love to visit, but I guess if I had to choose, England would be the place. I would want to stay for about two weeks (all expenses paid---by someone else ). Now given the fact that I would probably visit this place with my husband, you know what I would do. But besides that, I would want to do a lot of site-seeing. I would love to stay a Bed-and-Breakfast because it is so much more personable and romantic. I also feel that the English country side would be an excellent place for reflecting and relaxing.

I would take a trip throughout the so called 'Middle East' and Africa. I would try to do everything possible but I guess most of my time would be used just talking to people and getting to know them. I would stay as long as I could.

Well, anywhere I go would have to be in the South or near the equator. I hate cold weather! So, probably the Carribean, Hawaii, and maybe Africa.

I'd take a year-long tour of the following places: Brazil, Thailand, Bali, Fiji Islands, Vietnam, China, Korea, Japan, Egypt, Morocco, Sengal, Ethiopia, Ghana, Zambia, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Russia, and I'd bring it back home with a tour of Hawaii.

I can't think of any ONE place but by continent:

North America: Montreal in the summer (3 months)
South America: Brazil--3 months
Africa: Le Cote d’Ivoire & Ghana (4 months)
Asia: Nepal (2 months)
Europe: Greece (2 months)
Australia: well, Sydney, and then a tour of the outback (1-month)
Antarctica: well, I don't like cold weather, so I'd have to pass on this one!

In all the cities and countries, I'd like to do some backpacking, exploring and look at architecture and cultural influences. Of course, I'd like to shop and bring back loads of stuff too! And I can’t forget: eat something native (allowing for my…delicate constitution, anyway) in every locale.

Cool

A few years ago, while I was in high school we were assigned to read "Cry, the Beloved Country", by Alan Paton. This book gave beautiful depictions of the shores and countryside of South Africa. I would absolutely love the opportunity to see those places up close.

If given the chance to go, I'd probably stay at least two weeks and visit a lot of the historical sites. It would be wonderful to see Alan Patons birthplace, which I understand now is a national landmark. Also, I'd love to trace Nelson Mandela's footsteps and SA's road towards the end of aparteid. Oh, my.......this sounds soooo nerdy , but what can I say? I love history
