Founder's Day Plans.

Hotep Brothers. I bear witness that while working on a move in my Aikido class I partnered up with a student who was preparing for his 2nd degree Dan Black Belt. Sensei instructed a controlled position to be held for 30 seconds and while I placed the individual in a restraint I had a thought about our upcoming Founder's Day. It didn't help matters that my fellow student too was a member of another organization. I will not start no friction or animosity but I must state for the record that the individual was a bit BLUE when I released him per Sensei instructions. I have given thought to a wonderful idea for ALL chapters to think of doing if they do not usually do so during their respective Founder's Day. A redention of the "HOUSE OF ALPHA" should be given by an Alumni Brother and College Brother(neophyte & prophyte respectively). I know Bro. Ape and Professor can deliver the HOUSE OF ALPHA (backwards as well as forwards). Afterall, those smart 1s & 3s ALWAYS love attention. The TWOs are always humble and willing to offer the ANSWERS to the ONEs by whispering the answers with the THREEs and those who follow BEHIND the TWOs being provided ANSWERS. Oh well, this has been stated for informational purpose only. Ptah Hotep.

Founder's Day

Hotep Brothers. How fitting would it be for an empty chair to be fitted with an ALPHA HAT or something to serve as a symbolical gesture for the brother who has not been active. Such a symbolical gesture would serve as a purpose to acknowledge the importance of reclaiming that brother who has become disenchanted with our beloved fraternity for whatever reason. The issue of membership intake coupled with perhaps internal/external reasons are perhaps but a few reasons that a number of brothers have seemingly forgotten to live by the creed. Nevertheless, I pass no judgement because as a BLACKMAN ("Dey call me Mr. Tibbs, Tibbs...I izza proud BLACKMAN, Dey call me Mr. Tibbs!") I cannot fathom writing off any SON of Black and Old Gold. Again, the fraternal significance of having an empty chair at various fraternal functions for Alpha can best be shown as a gesture of GOODWILL BEING THE MONARCH OF OUR HOUSE. The gesture would serve as a reminder to the new blood of ALPHA that no matter what circumstance(s) prevail for a brother who has left the door shall be open for an ALPHA BROTHER to return and be welcomed back into the HOUSE of ALPHA! I am by far implying that a brother who was "EVICTED" from OUR HOUSE is worthy of being granted a new lease to sign. We ALPHAMEN must keep our HOUSE clean of such an infidel and scavenger for once a termite invades the foundation the HOUSE is surely to be ruined! This is for informational purpose only. Ptah-Hotep.

LOL - this would be a great skit - i don't think my chapter would go for it but i like it.

i have no idea what i am doing - - - the grad and undergrad chapters in my area normally have a dinner or luncheon - - i'm sure that we will do the same this year. it would be great if all chapters would join in some community service + the luncheon.
