I was already going to vote so it has not affected my decision. It has, however, made me more aware that we as "the people" must take more of a pro-active stance in the governing of our local areas, states, and country. Without letting our voices be heard, we have denied ourselves one of our most precious "unalienable rights".

May the will of "the people" reign supreme world-wide!

So glad you made it back safely. I am curious to hear your views of the war on terrorism as someone who has been in the thick of things.

Thanks for your reply frat and I agree that awareness has been raised. We as Americans have been taking the right to vote as a given . The fact is that we are blessed to be able to decide who will lead us. Just this Saturday the Afghani people not only had their first historic election, but for the first time, women were allowed to voice there opinion as well as the men . So I think that Americans,African Americans in particular should take more interest in who is making decisions for our country.
