omega kappa alpha is born

in the social forum, there is a post entitled "omega kappa alpha is born". it is about a new group that formed in january on the campus of stephen f austin. their colors are blue and silver and their symbol is the 5 point crown. this really bothers me, and i was wondering if anyone else feels the same? lisa

ps this is an older post--i don't know how we missed it the first time around.

Ok, I don't like it either. I think we have some SFA sisters here - if so please let us know what's going on with this org.

Just a coincidence that they happened to pick those colors and that symbol??? I would never think of doing that to another GLO, and I don't like that it's done to ZTA. I'd love to find out why.

My best friend, who is also my pledge sister and a national committee chair, is going to Nacogdoches today for training at SFA. I'll ask her to check into it and will post what I find.

I do know that there is a local group calling themselves Sigma Kappa Omega who want to recolonize Sigma Kappa there. I know a couple of SK alumnae who live in town and they say "No way!" Kind of a weird situation I would think.

O.K...after reading the other thread and checking out SFA's Greek life website, which lists locals, it looks like this group doesn't exist. I'll still ask Toni to check it out since she'll be in the Admin office.
