The Little Black Book of College Dating Ideas: A TKE exclusive fundraiser for Alzheimer’s
Tau Kappa Epsilon has teamed up with buzz boxx, a Chicago-based pop culture gift company, to create an entertaining and unique book to help achieve our fundraising goal for the Alzheimer’s Association in 2004-05. Created in large part to honor fellow Teke Frater, President Ronald Reagan, The Little Black Book of College Dating Ideas contains over 325 new, positively fun dating ideas perfect for college life and all young people. From “simple + easy” to “romantic + thoughtful” to “off the wall” and ideas in between – the book has something that will appeal to everyone in it. Since 1994, buzz boxx has been collecting real dating ideas from real people on the “street” and developed a whole line of products under The Little Black Book of Dating Ideas title. Various buzz boxx products have been featured in several national publications and on over 200 local radio stations. And The Little Black Book of College Dating Ideas is sure to receive an equal amount of coverage.
According to TKE C.E.O. Kevin Mayeux, “we were looking for something out of the ordinary and different to be used for a fundraiser on campus and The Little Black Book of College Dating Ideas certainly stands out — unique, meaningful, very universal, and will be on coffee tables and bookshelves for a long time.” The cover of this custom book features fellow Teke Fraters carefully selected based on their dating prowess. No, not really, but the guys do help create an eclectic and enthusiastically fun cover.
The book sells for $10.00 and with each book sold, $5.00 is being donated to The Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Institute of the Alzheimer’s Association and $2.00 goes to the local TKE chapter responsible for the sale, which can also be donated to the Alzheimer’s Account. The remaining $3.00 pays for production and shipping costs. Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity is not profiting from this project.
Help TKE reach the $240,000 goal. And, because “I don’t know, what do you want to do?” should never be in anyone’s dating vocabulary.
