HR 2028

No court created by Act of Congress shall have any jurisdiction, and the Supreme Court shall have no appellate jurisdiction, to hear or decide any question pertaining to the interpretation of, or the validity under the Constitution of, the Pledge of Allegiance, as defined in section 4 of title 4, or its recitation.

What the fuuuuuuuu...?

I don't have a problem reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, nor do I have a problem in including 'under God' in said Pledge, but creating a law that effectively immunizes the Pledge from being struck down as being unconstitutional?

Way to go, Congress... now you've started a slippery slope where future laws will include such a provision, and before long we'll wind up with a f*ckin' totalitarian state.

I sure as sh*t don't wanna see jackbooted thugs marching down the avenue singing: Die Fahne hoch, die Reihe fest geschlossen... or whatever equivalent comes to mind. ("Raise high the flags, stand rank on rank together..." - the opening lines of the old Nazi party song "Horst Wessel Lied" (Horst Wessel's Song).)

So the High Court will find this bill Unconstitutional and the thing about the pledge will become moot.
