The Player
hey, is anyone watching this show? it's kinda good. ol' girl's hip-hop wackccent gets on my nerves, but it's a pretty interesting show. last night, i was tripping at how ol' girl just kicked that dude off the show on a whim. and i felt a little bad for the dude who was voted off.
i think that her homegirls are a bit of an unneccessary element to the show. i also don't understand their line of thinking at times. the guy who was nominated tonight and marvin, who was nominated last week, were nominated because they haven't interacted with the chick but dates are determined by contest and if they don't win, well, what are they supposed to do? and i guess the easy answer to that would be to get to know her in the house but then that black guy was nominated because her homegirl thought he was too comfortable.
the show comes on upn on wednesdays and they repeat on tuesdays.

You know I love you, right? LOL Today has been eye candy day. I have some LL Cool J pics to post when I get home.
I have not watched the show but I think I will starting next week.
Mista? 1 hit wonders that sang Blackberry Molasses summer of 1997.

Oh I watch this show too. What's Ananda's problem? I don't understand why she hating on Chyno like that. If that man putting it down, then let him put it down. The name of the show is "the player" why she hating. If she was so offended by old boy, I forget his name... the one who touched her butt, then why didn't she nominate him for elimination?
Chyno was my favorite at first, for obvious reasons, but this week he had some funny looking moments.
Acie seems like a cool dude. If your friend isn't dating him maybe you could find some kind of way to introduce me
I also agree with you about old girl's accent. When she talks it reminds me of Christina Aguilera. I love to hear her sing, but I hate to hear her talk.
Marvin is a bit of an a$$hole, he running around like he LL Cool J or something, looking like a mix between a teenage mutant ninja turtle and kermit the frog. And the girl isn't that much better. She think she all cute and stuff, but she needs to eat. She way too thin, and she needs to keep her hair over them big old ears she has, but I was rolling when she kicked old dude out the limo. That was hilarious.
Oh and one more thing about Ananda... homegirl is bad built for real. Why she tryna dress all hoochie?

Hey, sorry to crash your thread, but I just wanted to comment on this.
I went to high school w/ this girl, and she didn't talk like that AT ALL! I don't know where this came from, but I noticed she'll switch b/w using the accent and not using it. So, I don't konw where it came from. But she didn't have it back then.

I think the show is kind of corny. The men are corny, they aren't fine, their game is wack. I'm really trying to give this show a chance but it just isn't doing it for me.

I watch the show sometimes. I missed it this week. But I know what gets on my last NERVE!!!! "Don't hate the Playa Hate the Game" IT SOUNDS SO WACK!!!! When that model chick says that when she dismisses the guys it just lights a fire inside of me and I have to restrain myself from throwing the remote at the Tv. And I think the only reason they have her two friends on the show is for some more "eye-candy."

I totally agree about the men. They are so lame. The lawyer guy, he really kills me. But sometimes I can understand where he is coming from. Like when he says he isn't about to be running all up under the girl........does he remember this is a competition?

To Acie aka Feva...
A little advice...
Next time you want to represent in a (now outdated) U.S. Air Force uniform, at least try to sport some officer (lieutenant/captain/major/colonel/general) insignia with some ribbons and a fruit salad (medals) to really set it off.
No woman want to holla at some newly inducted Airman recruit. Heck, I got more play from women in Air Force Jr. ROTC and I was only a cadet (Major).
Cmon now, step it up a litlle...

Not only do I throw the remote down when she says "Don't Hate the Player Hate the Game" but I collapse to the floor when she tells them to "Play on players" in that wack accent

Chyno can get it - but i just came BACK from charlotte and i swear the brothas didn't look like that. maybe i was on the wrong side of town? but anyway....
i was forced to watch this show last week at a (male) friend's house. I was like - WHY ARE YOU WATCHING THIS FOOLISHNESS but then i kind of started to get into it.
I guess my friend was watching to see how we "think" - but that's stupid cause all you got to do is ask... but that is menfolk (going out the way to do the unneccesarry - oh my bad... that's for the open letter... i'll wait ... )

Tonight was my first time watching it. I don't like HER, her girls, Chino, most of the men, etc.
I want to slap her when she says "Don't Hate the Player, Hate the Game" and "Play on Players."
I can't watch this isht anymore.
Oh and BluTang, you can have Chyno.

I gave it ONE chance and thought it was simply lame.
I'd rather watch "Amish In the City". You can call me lame for that, but I like watching the Amish "kids" acclimate themselves to LA while building up to the big decision: turn their back on the Amish way of life to embrace "the world" or the Amish way of life.
