Right, i've noted your responses and REFUND seems to have been the winner!

I'm not sure I've even seen most of the ones listed here.

Of the ones you currently have listed, "III" is the best one by far in my opinion. I'm not sure if "Cocoa Custard Confection" is the same one you posted here called "Eat my dessert". Though, the description sounds right. I thought that one was really good!

I also found the "refund" montage to be exceptional. I think I laughed out loud on that one. Finally, I remember a really old one I believe was called "Can you explain this?" where we were enticed into making up our own captions for a weird set of pictures (one was a toilet roll).

To summarise:

III
Cocoa Custard Confection/Eat my dessert (?)
Refund
Can you explain this?

Thanks for nominating your faveorite. 'Refund' had stronger parallels to everday life that people can identify with, unlike the bulk of my output. After all, it's not everyday you have your brain scooped out of your skull!

I think the montages strengths and weaknesses are bound in the fact that they are the result of a single persons excesses. They are highly individual. They don't indicate a great talent at work in any one area, rather they show a person using his mediocre abilities, collectively, to create something truly unique.

Okay, my favorite was Refund. I used to work in retail, so it was a familiar situation for me.

Although all of them have been great, I liked Mean Mister Mustard the best.

Yes, 'Mean Mr Mustard' was a widely popular montage with most of the forums i posted it too! Thanks for posting Thrillhouse!

Sadly the sequel, 'Polythene Pam' did not get similar reaction. Most of it was down to the gender bending that made at least 60% of the audience uncomfortable.

For me 'Polythene Pam' was a triumph, i did a fair job of passing as a female and the images were quite strong. It's worth saying though, when i putting it together i was nearly despairing, thinking to myself, 'i'll scrap the whole lot'. What brought it all together, and made it work, was simply putting in a different background! That changed the location to something more suitable and credible!
