Moore to persue Best Picture Oscar for Farenheit 9/11

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...fahrenheit_911

Good luck bud...the Oscars lost all credibility when Shakespeare in Love won over Saving Private Ryan, so I guess he has a shot....

Fat (pun intended) chance.....

Or when Chicago won over The Pianist.

Everyone knows the Oscars are all about politics, and for that reason alone, it's possible Moore could win. Blah.

I don't know if Hollywood would be dumb enough to give him best picture on that film. They gave him enough flack last year about politicizing the Oscars with his speach. In fact, wasn't he booed?

As long as he's not going after "Best Documentary," whatever.

How nice of him to bow out of the documentary category to give others a chance. GAG ME!
This article said the movie is going to DVD on Oct 5. Is it just me or is that pretty quick for a movie that did so well in the theatre?

I believe it was Plato who first uttered, 'Die in a fire, Michael Moore.'

It's actually pretty slow for a movie that was directed by such a piece of total ass

I think he wanted it out on DVD before the elections. Thats good timing. Close enough to keep it fresh in everyone's mind.

I thought that Al-Jazeera's take on Fahrenheit 9/11 was interesting. It's at http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exer...A5FBE2837E.htm

Only after he was apaulled. It depends on where you live in the country (marketing research=ad revenues) as to which clip you saw.
