NY Giants QB question
Who do you think will be starting this year? Warner for now and Manning comming in later on? Or Manning starting right away?

Warner's a good QB. I'd expect 'em to start Warner and use Manning liberally in reserve.

I expect to see Warner start at first until the giants start to lose it a bit and I bet Manning will be starting by the middle of the year at the latest.

Looks like Warner is the starter...I'd expect to see Manning get a good deal of playing time though.
Maybe this is the year Tim Carter breaks out. Hopefully Tiki holds on to the ball.
Off topic, but Arya, I figured you'd think this was funny: I found an old Knicks Hubert Davis jersey and a Rodney Hampton Giants jeresey in my old room at my parents place this weekend - thought it was kind of funny

good thing it's not your nod that matters, sport, or my boy collin would have to spend yet another year rebuilding - Eli looked completely lost against the jets. for right now, eli sucks.
warner gets the nod, for good reason: he can read zones, apparently eli cannot.

I know this wasn't directed at me but last year at work we had an old jersey day at work. We had people busting out old Grant Hill jerseys from 97, Webber when he was on Golden State, LJ when he was on Charlotte, etc. Its funny seeing stuff like that now

I wouldn't expect that Eli will start, but I do think he will play a good bit. He didn't have a good game the other day.

I found an old Grant Hill jersey as well...the red alternate uniform.
Warner deserves to be the starter right now...Manning has been horrible in preseason, and Kurt gives them the best chance to win. It would be great to have Eli take this thing over and just blow everyone away, but it's not happening.

It's preseason. He's a rookie. He'll make mistakes. You've seen what Warner can do to the 'World's Greatest Show'...with a weaker O-line, less tools to work with...and if you haven't noticed, Warner is a jittery + slow QB once the rush gets to him.
We'll see how long Warner lasts, lmao.

If you're a gints fan (*shudder*), you'd better hope his ass lasts six or eight weeks, b/c Eli won't be ready.
You would rather throw him to the wolves?? See: every QB that's happened to for the results (elway and aikman excepted), starting with last year's Patrick Ramsey.

It's the preseason, yes, but Eli's numbers have been awful...he's not ready, and I'd rather sit him and try my luck with Warner.
Even Elway and Aikman had horrid first years; with all the pressure on Eli after forcing the trade, a failure of a first season would be a lot to take.
If you need recent history that the sit-and-wait approach works, look at Steve McNair.

Four words for the Giants starter: Jesse 'the Bachelor' Palmer.
Also, Ramsey rules it and will start the last eleven games.
