need recruitment themes for panhel

I've been trying to come up with some recruitment themes for our formal recruitment in the spring but I'm stuck. The theme is mainly important for the t-shirts that all PNMs get and other recruitment items (the book, RC bags, etc.). So just a saying doesn't really work unless it has some sort of graphic do go along with it. Last year the theme was "go greek and all that jazz". On the back of the shirt every chapter (we have 12) was a broadway show. The year before was "greeks in the city" and the year before that was "going greek has never been so sweet". That year on the back of the shirt we put candyland and replaced the different stops with our chapter houses - they were accurate representations of the houses made out of candy - so cute! So anyway...everyone loves when all the houses are included somehow, so if that could happen that would be great. Also...it would be nice if the message was positive. Our themes in the past have been good but they don't really speak about why you would want to go greek. So if you have any suggestions, or just want to share what your campus does, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

A theme I think would be really cute would be Dr. Seuss' "Oh The Places You'll Go". You could do a design with all the houses on the back in the funky Dr. Seuss style.

we did one one year that was

"No matter the letter, we're greek together."

Then it had all the names of the sororities represented. You could do the same thing, just include pictures of all the houses in a circle, with the saying in the center.

i just got a thing in the mail for recruitment in the spring( since i have a freshman sister) and i really liked it

it says a league of their own and smaller it says are you game?

Last year when i rushed it was its not what you become its what you have always been with a butterfly

a few years back there was the candyland theme cause i got a shirt from my big with it

We did a travel theme for a few years. Our Panhel rush shirts were designed to be reminiscent of passports - navy blue, seal of the school on the front, and a "visa page" on the back with "visas" from each sorority (sorority name, founding date as the "entry date", and a symbol - giraffe for AEPhi, etc). We were going to give the PNMs little "passport" cards that they would have stamped at each sorority during round 1 and then keep as a souvenir, but that never happened (and probably would have been too much to keep track of anyway).

What about a crayola crayon theme. Each sorority is a color (Phi Mu = Pink, ADPI = light Blue, AXD = yellow, Kappa = dark blue, Sigma =purple, AXO = red, KD = green and so on....)

The shirts can be a light teal color and on the back it has a crayola crayon box with all the crayons sticking out but instead of the color name on it, it has the sorority name (or all greek organizations). And the box has the name of the school on it and the year and sorority rush. Then the slogan could be something like "Color me Happy-What's your best color?"

Recruitment councilors can wear name tags that look like crayons and they'd be what ever color the sororites weren't using. All different colors of balloons, confetti, sign up sheets etc could be used. I know I've seen big crayons tha inflate like beach balls. I think lots of color attract people's attention.

I love the Dr. Seuss one!! Last year one school did one about stars, and then each of the chapters' letters were in this sky of stars. It was cute...

I think one of the themes that our Panhellenic used one year was "Add a Chapter to Your Life." The back of the chapters had a border of books and each book, I think, had the letters of the different chapters in them. Then inside it was just something like Iowa State University Formal Recruitment Fall 200?
And what seems like a million years ago sometimes, back when ISUKappa and I went through it was something like "Capture Your True Colors" but I could be wrong all together and if I am, I hope that Kari corrects me.

This year we used the theme:
Diamonds are nice and so are Pearls, but nothing compares to Sorority Girls!
Our shirts had girls playing dress up, the name tags were diamond shapes with names printed on them, and panhellenic gave jewelry boxes decorated in sorority colors to the PNMs on bid day.

Our theme was "Sisterhood Makes You Stronger" and it had Rosie the Riveiter on the back...very cute!!!

The Rho Sigmas had pink shirts that had a high heeled shoe on it and it said "Only a Few Can Fill a Rho Sigmas Shoes"...I really like it.

Pepperdine had a really cute theme last year: "It's Chic to be Greek." They had black shirts with pink glittery writing and I think the rush counselor's shirts were the oppisite, but can't remember.
