Just Starting

I'm just starting a sorority as a little sister program to an on campus fraternity. I am soo scared and severly overwhelmed. There has to be meaning behind everything from colors to quotes. I feel like giving up but this is important to me. I need help but i'm trying to keep this very quiet around campus until i can get it up and running or at least until i've designed a sorority structure. I need to plan a founding sister initiation but I have NO idea how. I need to recruit but i'm not sure how or even if there are any girls how would do it. I've gone to the websites listed for help but it just made me more determined with little assistance. Can anyone Help!?

A Hopeful Alpha Zeta Pi

OK, I'm confused. Is this a little sister program or a sorority? They are two different things.

If the fraternity wants to have little sisters, it's up to them to start the program.

If you are going to be a sister org to a fraternity - which I know a lot of local systems do - from what I've seen the sorority is usually already existing and then the two groups decide to have a brother/sister relationship. Those relationships are nice but a sorority shouldn't be started solely so a fraternity can have a sister group. Also, the sorority would be sisters - NOT "little sisters." There is a difference.

I agree. You shouldn't start a Lil' sis organization. I'm in two, but I started my sorority for completely different reasons. I'm close to the boys, but they understand that I have a Greek Organization to run too. Let them start a Lil'sis program if they want one.

I agree with 33 and Omega *nods*

I'm a Li Sis to a fraternity also, but it's up to the fraternity to if they want to have a lil sis program. Also, you may be all happy about the boys now, but just wait a wait awhile til you all get old to them then you'd wish you never did it
