Ocean City, Maryland
I haven't been there since HS, but probably going to be there for a long weekend next weekend. What's there to do?

Seacrets is the big bar down there...it's this multiplex sort of thing, they usually have several bands playing, there are tons of different rooms that have different kinds of music, it backs right up to the bay...it's pretty cool. It's on 53rd street, I highly recommend it.
Fager's Island is another good one, their big night is Monday when they have a deck party, but my friends and I went on a Friday and there was still a good crowd, and they had live music. It's on 60th street, bayside.
Macky's on 45th (I think) is another cool place, they have a back yard beach on the bay side that has a bunch of long tables and solo cups on them so you can play beer pong or flip cup if you so desire.
The boardwalk is pretty long, there are tons of stores and places to eat, but then again there are tons of stores and places to eat all up and down Coastal Highway. Also, in Rehoboth Beach (in Delaware, about 20 mins away) there are a TON of outlet stores and DE shopping is tax-free so if you have bad weather one day or you're sick of the beach, it's a good place to go.
Have fun!

I was going to say Seacrets too. About 10 of my fraternity brothers used to live there in the summer. There are tons of places to go in OC MD. I remember the Purple Moose, Cadilac Jacks, MR Ducks. Talbot Street, Big Kahuna, Brass Balls, Big Peckers sound familiar but things are a little cloudy. All I really remember is I had a good time when I was there.

I know that from Sacramento's Hwy 50, it's about 3869 miles away (yes there is actually a sign saying that here.)

If you're going to go to Seacret's, do not, I repeat, DO NOT wear heels. The ground is sand and your heels will sink into it. Stupid me forgot about this minor factor and I spent an entire night sinking and getting caught in the sand. Flip-flops or flat shoes are the best to wear. I know people are prolly thinking that's tacky, but everyone there is wearing them, so you'll be the one standing out if you're in heels.
There is also a bar called FishTails around 35th street on the bayside. It's where most of the locals hang out ~ hammocks and swings are all around the bar.
Have fun!

Be smart, and drive up to Dewey Beach (go straight up Coastal hwy, for 12 miles once you cross the state line after 136th street) Dewey is paradise to the mid 20's to 30's crowd. I beleive at last count there are 32 bars in a mile! Don't get me wrong Seacrets is a blast but OC caters much more to the redneck crowd while the Delaware beach resorts are MUCH nicer. DEWEY is awesome, if you need more info let me know. I have spent every summer since I was first born vaca'ing in Bethany (which you pass through on the way to Dewey from OC) as my g'ma has a place there.

This is too true! I wore a cute pair of heels my first time in the place. Totally destroyed my feet and my cute shoes! I also realized that almost everyone is in sandals. So you look dumb in heels.

Thank you all for the info! The new Mr. kddani went to OC many many times when he was in college, but I think it's been awhile. We won't be leaving until Friday, so if anyone else has suggestions.
Where's good to eat?

You must get Thrasher's fries! Absolutely the best in the world. There is a reason why people stand in that line forever! Bull on the Beach is good and Phillip's is great for seafood. I really don't eat to much when I'm down there, so I can't tell you too many more places.

If you go up to DE to go shopping, stop at Libby's for breakfast, it's right over the DE line in Fenwick on the left...look for the polka dotted building
Definitely go somewhere for crabs, Phillips is good, Higgin's on 30th is not. You have been warned.

Thank you all again for all the info.
ESPECIALLY the tip to not wear heels to Seacrets. He mentioned something last night about going there. And of course, b/c he is a guy, he wouldn't ever think to let me know that it's all sand and I would've worn heels! So flats for me!
We're heading out this afternoon, actually stopping in DC for the night then going to OC tomorrow. Should be fun!
Thanks for all the tips!
