The New Victoria's Secret Catalog

I wasn't sure if this was the right forum to put this in, but I just had to get this off my chest! The new VSC...Tyra on the cover wearing a light blue bra...is AWFUL.

It starts off normal, and then on page 20 there is this chick who looks no older than 12, wearing a ton of mommy's make up, and in 'French lingerie'!!! After about five seconds of shock, I quickly turned the page...all was fine again until pages 40-46 when another 13 year old looking chick pops up! I've thrown it down and haven't picked it up since. Even my husband, usually a BIG fan of the catalog, was a little surprised by these chicks.

Any one else agree? Am I just getting old? Is the (WAY) underage look what's in now?

what in the world??? i am a huge VS fan. that is a little sick and disturbing to have in the catalog

I haven't seen the photos, but those girls might really be older (18 perhaps?), but happen to look young (I could have easily passed for a middle schooler when I was about to graduate high school). Though I think if you do look like you're 13, you should be modelling for YM or Seventeen!

I haven't seen the catalog, but my husband and I went into Vicki's last weekend b/c the one here was "reopening." He commented about how Vicki's no longer looks like Vicki's - it now looks like Frederick's.

They are not actually children, but they sure do look like them. They don't just look young, they look pre-puberty young...like pedophile temptation young. Tyra, Heidi, and Giselle certainly aren't old hags, but they look old enough to be wearing the stuff their pushing!

am i looking at the same catalog? mine has tyra on the front, but wearing a pink bra, not blue. i dont think the girl on page 20 looks 12 at all... probably college age though -- but shes been in a lot of VS ads. The girls on page 26 look very young -- HS age, but I'm sure in reality they are older. I'm 20 and I dont think I look my age..

my catalog is "fall fashion 2004 vol 1 no 1"

is it the same one?

Yup. I couldn't find a matching bra & panties in my size so I couldn't get my gift.

I did get my free pair of underwear though.

Yeah, it's the same one. I agree, they look and are probably younger in comparison to the regular VS models. However, they don't look 12 and 13, lol.

I've been throught this magazine twice and not once noticed the different models. I really don't pay attention to them.

I got mine too, lol. The free gift is incredible. There are some things I don't use so they will be gifts for Christmas.

Just a note: I read somewhere that Vicki's is going to launch a line aimed at girls/women 16-22 ish. They're going to be items with cute prints on them. Maybe these younger looking models will be promoting them once launched?

i saw the 'infamous' catalog today. it was weird seeing those models with their 'girly' look. but oh well. just as long as they are over the age of 18, then i am not bothered
