We're getting closer!
Rush is getting closer! How many of you sorority rushees are getting nervous and excited? I know I'm not the only one! Care to share your concerns?

I am REALLY exicted! However, my school only does informal rush (we only have two sororities on campus). My biggest concern(s) is that I don't really know exactly what they mean by "informal rush" on my campus. I talked to the Dean of Student Services at my school and he only gave me vague details.

Informal rush normally means that you dont have to sign-up for recruitment and they dont make your tour through all the houses. But with only 2 houses on campus it should be hard for you to go and see both of them.
Best of luck in recruitment!

And there are usually not the set parties with all of the stress of formal rush. It's much more laid back. At my school, it is all pretty casual events.

I've been nervous for weeks! As anyone who has talked to me can tell! But after talking to all you sweethearts on here, I'm calming down a bit! Also the fact that I have all my recs done but 2 helps! I'm glad I found greekchat when I did, otherwise I would have had only one rec! Thanks everyone for your support and help!!!!!!

Y'all are not the only ones excited! Recruitment is one of my favorite times of the year--seeing the delight/relief/excitement on the new members' faces just brings back so many memories of my Bid Day.

This will be my first time on the other side of recruitment.
It's informal recruitment in the fall though. I'm still excited though.

I'm scared to rush again even though it's informal. I'm a sophomore, and it's my second time. In my school, only non-freshmen are allowed to rush in the fall and it would be the second time for most of them, so that's not what I'm scared of. The first rush I went to was formal, and I don't think I looked nice enough. I do alot more shopping now... I was also very very nervous, so I guess my words didn't come out right? I dunno. I'm just worried that whatever dumb thing I did or said doesn't happen again and mess up my rush.
Good luck to all you guys though! I know I'll definetely need it.
*Bye*

Focus on the present, not the past. You've experienced what recruitment is like, so now you now what to expect. Be as positive as can be and enjoy yourself. I know when I went through (well, and when I was an active recruiting) I said some things that came out wrong or stumbled on myself. I would just make a joke and play it off as nothing. Everyone will have nerves during recruitment. You're not the only one.
*Hugs to the nervous PNMs*
