Lightbulb Miss the local sororities website?

I do. Very much. I thought I'd try and make another website since it was such a valuable resource - what do y'all think?

Yep. It's gone. I decided to start another one. It's www.geocities.com/local_sororities . Not the same address, but very similar. I'll do the best I can to list everything I find or am told about. Email me with your org, school, website, and contact info and I'll add you.

Crystal,

Maybe you can e-mail or PM localsororities and get copies of her files so you don't have to reinvent the wheel?

Or ask that she transfer the account over to you...

Wink The amazing disappearing-reappearing Locals website

I took the site offline about a month ago, with the intent of making it permanent. Then I realized that as much as the site frustrated me, I missed it. And apparently, quite a few other people missed it too. So I put the site back up. I'll be making a few changes to it over then next couple months to ease some of the workload...

Anyways, back to the point of the thread. Crystal, I'll help you with your site if you'd like

No need for me to do mine if you're putting it back up! Go you! Would you like some help?

Just an update as to where the site stands right now.

- More info has been added to the resources section.

- Going through the listings letter by letter to verify accuracy. in the past, I've always started with Alpha and worked my way down, usually never making it to the end. So this time I've started at Omega, and am working my way up, so that those pages that have been negelected can be updated.

- alumnae associations section has been added. I've put in a request with meetup.com to have a topic for local sorority alumnae, but so far nothing has come of that. Until then, the page is still empty.

If anyone would like to help out, there are 2 main areas where it would be really great:

- verifying the listings. If you see a broken link, any groups that aren't on the page, or a group that doesn't exist anymore, let me know so I can fix it.

- content for the resources section. If you want to write something to be put in the resources page, that would be great! PM me if you are interested.
