recognition button
I'm guessing this has been covered somewhere, but just curious, Does anyone know of anywhere to find a real recognition button.
The website describes it like this:
"The Recognition Button
Unlike many fraternity recognition buttons, that of Lambda Chi Alpha is neither a miniture coat of arms nor a display of the cutout letters. It is a special design showing the cross and crescent combined."
Funny thing is that when you look at the jewlery page, the recognition button is one of two things... a miniature coat of arms, or a cutout of the letters

One of our alumni made some. It is a minature C&C. It is now supposed to be given out during the Alumni ceremony, so INT my change their statement about the recognition button.

If you contact HQ and tell them what you want
(C&C pin), they are cheap and easy to get.
There are two sizes...small with a straight-pin
back like the AM badge; larger with a latch-pin
like initiate badge.
I use a small one for a tie tack all the time.
THe president of our alum assoc. got a whole
box of the small ones a year or 2 ago.

Kev, there are no more left!
Looks like they finally got a new web outfit, but the jewelry page is still screwed up.
There is a page in C & C that shows some items. None of The C & C pins shown and did not show them previously!

The larger pin is a C&C with a shield and letters (like on the flag) and is officially called the "Friendship Pin". It's a little bigger than a standard badge.
The Recognition Button is super-tiny (about 3/16" dia.) and I have some that I'm planning to sell on our upcoming online store to be called "The Chopper Image" (haha - do you love it?) along with a bunch of other diverse LCA items, with all proceeds benefitting our Alumni Association, but it will be a whlie before the online store is operational.
In the meantime, if anybody wants a Recognition Button, I can sell you one now for just $10 each, postage included, cash or personal check. Just pm me.
Among other things, our Alumni Association is spending close to two thousand dollars to help send four undergraduates and one alumnus to General Assembly this year! We're pretty proud of that, but it all takes money. We're hoping the store will significantly augment the freely given alumni contributions we've relied on in the past.

After reading your post, I realized there are actually 3 pins:
1. Large C&C with shield and letters (Friendship Pin)
2. Exact replica of #1, only smaller and can be used as a
tie tack
3. tiny C&C with no shield/letters (forgot about this one,
don't think I've ever seen one "in real life")
I have a #1 and a #2
