Question for Alpha Omicron members

I saw the picture from the fundraiser you held at Build A Bear in the summer issue of the Adelphean. I was wondering where you got the ADPi shirts for your Alphies? That would make such an awesome gift for sisters (and I would like one too!) If you could let me know how/where you got those, that would be wonderful!! Thanks a bunch!

(I've posted here and two different boards on the "double secret" site so hopefully someone will know!)

I'm from GU, and have been to build a bear once in my life, but I thought the fine folks at Build A Bear offered Greek Lettered shirts?

If you go to this link:http://www.buildabear.com/acb/showde...CATID=22&emb=1 , and scroll a little bit it says you can select up to three Greek Letters.

I'm not sure if this is where Alpha Omicron got them, but I hope it helps

Yes, Build A Bear is VERY Greek-friendly! If you're going to go to a BAB Workshop in person, you need to order the shirt ahead of time, but they are just marvelous to work with!

I'm in charge of a Build A Bear Raffle that we have every year for a philanthropy, and they will provide a bear, if you notify them in time (6 weeks).

And their website is fun to play with, too!

It MUST be for a non-profit organization (ours is Soccer In The Streets, www.sits.org), and you can get the order form right at the BAB Workshop.

If they don't have the form, let me know, and I'll try to get another one. If you go to the website, and see the girl Patriotic Bear, that's what we're doing this year (along with 2 soccer playing bears).

I just love this idea! I just pitched it to the Chapter Pres, the NMC, the Alumnae Relations Chair, and the Alumnae Association President--after we get our new Alphas this fall for us to have an Alpha, Delta, and Pi event at BAB!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, please remember that BAB will only donate a bear for raffle if it's for a NON-PROFIT organization!! We held our BAB raffle for almost 10 years before we realized this, and we've been able to deck out a bear for as little as $30.

My own suggestion is to have a theme in mind, one that goes with the idea of the organization holding the raffle and the organization which will profit. For example, since we do ours for a soccer organization, we dress the bear of the year in whatever our party theme is (this year, it's Olympic & American Spirit), but we also include a soccer uniform kit.

If you're doing this for Ronald McDonald House, you might want to have a Doctor or Nurse Pain-Free Bear, along with the ADPi t-shirt.

Here's our bear of the year (Samantha):

btw: The Build A Bear site has some WONDERFUL E-cards, too!!
