Well, I know he's a beagle mix. But the predominant breed on the other side could be pit, boxer, American Bulldog, etc. It's hard to say, but he's not a "non-purebred" mutt.
Now for the explanation. There are plenty of dogs in the world who don't fit into a lineage. They are the true mutt dogs and have no ties to any breed we currently know. They're direct descendants of the first dogs with no tampering from humans. Then there are dog who are purebred, from human breeding, and dogs who are a mix of purebred dogs.
So, I'm going to be moving to NY for three years, starting in January. My pup has been in play groups since he was about six weeks old (I didn't realize he was that young or I never would have done it!) He's wonderful with all other dogs, children and anything else you could think of. But, if a human tries to run away from him he runs after, growling and barking because he's trained to do so. He doesn't attack though.
