Exclamation Light The Night Walk

I know for some people this short notice but I wanted to spread the word that on October 10, 2004 - Sunday in Redlands California @ Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom, there will be a "Light Up the Night" walk in Redlands California to celebrate and remember lives touched by cancer. This event is sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, this event helps raise awareness of blood cancers and also helps raise funds for the cure.

I personally hold this event dear to my heart because my grandmother passed away from multiple myeloma bone marrow cancer 2 yrs ago after a 5 1/2 yr battle. I just want to spread awareness that leukemia and lymphoma cancers affect African Americans more than people think.
Here is the website for the event this is a nationwide event and the site has the other cities dates and where it will be http://www.lightthenight.org
And here is the website if you want to learn more about the blood cancers

I did this last year here in Tx. I'm doing it again in a couple of weeks.

Thumbs up

What a wonderful thing to do. On another note I attended the University of Redlands my freshman and sophomore years of college.

Just a testament to the impact of blood cancers on the AfAm community as well.

My grandfather passed away after a three year bout with multiple myeloma....I hate that disease.
