I have been renting black films that went straight to dvd for the past few weekends, and most of them were actually good, and they have several big stars in the films, which I found surprising.
This is my List:
Nora's Beauty Salon
Civil Brand
All About You
Blue Hill Ave
Heat & Hustle
30 Years To life
I'm waiting on a few more to arrive such as Skin Deep and Me & Mrs. Jones.
Have anyone seen these films and your thoughts? What others do you suggest?
I've never heard of any of these movies. However, when I got to Blockbuster there are some movies that have me . There was one with Lil' Kim and some other b-level actresses as cowgirls...
I actually just rented Nora's Hair Salon, and I must say, it was great. It had me laughing the entire time. And most importantly, it had a great message.
I haven't seen any of those movies that you mentioned Special. Guess I'll have to be on the lookout.

I've seen that movie at BB before. Don't ever plan on renting that mess.
