has anyone ever done this?

I have 3 roommates and we are all in Greek Orgs. Last week we decided to put up all our paddles and other memorabilia on a wall to honor our organizations. Has anyone ever heard of htis being done? It's a really neat concept but we're afraid people will think we're kinda wierd for doing this,

My little sister, when she lived in the dorms, her and her other 2 roommates were all greek. My little was last to go greek and the way she let her other two roomies know was by decorating their door with their names and what Org's was theres. It was really cute. Then when I walked into their room you would always see Phi Sigma Sigma stuff, Gamma Phi Beta stuff and AST stuff everywhere.

I think it's a cute idea. Shows you guy support each other and are proud of each others orgs.

I think my roommates and I should do that in the duplex we'll be in this fall.
One roommate is in Sigma Lambda Gamma. She's got tons of things she and her Sisters have made containing their letters.
I'm in Phi Kappa Psi- havent made anything but have acquired postcards, prints, old manuals and mugs of Phi Kappa Psi.
And our other roommate... was in a fraternity for a semester? Is a member but doesnt do anything? I saw a paddle in his room in a box of stuff once- but I dont think he's active or does anything.

I think it's an adorable idea! You have all that great stuff, so why not put it on display so everyone can enjoy it?

My boyfriend in college lived with two other guys from his house and they received paddles both from their pledge dads and pledge sons. As a result, between the 3 of them, they had like 8 paddles and they had them arranged in an arc on a wall in their living room. I always thought it was pretty cool looking actually. I think it's cool if you each have stuff to display to do it.

At a commuter school we don't have dorms but I love walking into my room, or some of the houses of other greeks and seeing paddles, etc displayed on the walls. If you have the stuff show it off!

I think that's a cute idea! First semester of my freshman year my roommate and I kind of had a dueling AXiD / Chi Omega thing going on...we both had our door decorations outside, and tons of sorority stuff on the walls inside. Then she moved into the Chi O house for 2nd semester, and the room became entirely AXiD.

mostly everyone at the school i went to does this, whether you were all in the same GLO or different ones. since my school didn't have houses, you usually had girls from all different chapters living together, so it was interesting to see which paddles were up.

i definitely don't think that's unusual. when i lived in my appartment i had a wall that i hung my anchor on (i'm a dg and we have anchors instead of paddles) as well as pictures of my big and lil and lots of other things. my old neighbors who were dz's had all of their paddles hanging on the wall as well. i think it's wonderful to decorate with stuff from your GLO because that shows pride in your organization. have fun decorating!

I think it's a great idea! I used to live down the hall from a Chi-O and an Alpha Phi who roomed together and they hung their paddles and had pictures all over their room. I used to stop by and say "Hi" just to admire their stuff! It was all so cute!

While we won't be in different orgs, if my roommate gets initiated as an AI, we're going to frame our membership certificates and hang them with our paddles.

I think it is a good idea. Hey, I'm out of college and my APO paddle still hangs above my bed.

One of my good friends and I were going to live with each other our senior year. She was a Tri-Delt and the two of us were going to hang our respective crests on the wall in the living room. We never did live together, but I think you're idea is really cool.

My big sis lived with one of her best friends who is a brother of ZBT. They painted 4 big squares on one wall in a sort of checkerboard, 2 gold, 1 blue, and 1 black (Theta's black and gold, ZBT's blue and gold). Then they hung their paddles/kite plaques, pictures, and crests in their respective squares. It came out looking really cool.

Now one of our new initiates moved into her apartment, so the blue square has been painted black... but it was cool while it lasted.

At my school all the Greeks who live on campus proudly display their paddles, and anything else they may have with their latters or something that represents their GLO. Two of the seniors who roomed together down the hall from me had a ton of paddles, they had them hanging on two walls of thier room I would find a new one I liked everytime I went in their room.
