I wasn't really into Wimbledon this year, but I did just watch the finals this morning.

OMG that little 17 year old has some awesome playing ability! It looked like an awesome game, but she just came out with the winning points.

And Serena.... that girl has got so much class. Still smiling, laughing and joking after losing her title. Congratulating the new champ... it really almost brought tears to my eyes and made me proud to be a tennis player and fan.

In my opinion, you cannot have class if you grunt every time you hit the ball. It's just disgusting. I played for 10 years and never grunted once. Of course, I mostly put underspin on the ball because I was playing with girls who couldn't hit it back. But Roddick doesn't seem to grunt, which makes me like him more.

Uhhmm..... this is 2004, not 1958. And if you play so hard, you should know that sometimes grunting can't be helped. I was known to sometimes let one out, and every great high school-level tennis player I was around grunted too.

Roddick is just too hot for words. I don't care if he took a leaky on the middle of the court. He's hot.

I know what year it is. I like Serena a lot, she handled the loss well, but I just think it's gross for anyone to grunt. But I never played hard like you seem to think, underspin is not a powerful shot.

Venus handled her loss very well too. I would have been pretty annoyed about the tie breaker. I've lost a match by one point before, and it's hard to take.

I have been playing tennis for close to 20 yrs and as i grew more and more and playing harder i grunt because it takes a lot of swing to deliver one right back at the same if not more power punch behind that ball.

At first i didnt lie the williams girls now over the yrs i like them alot ....i am just surpised one lost Wilm title.

LOL @ the grunting. It's always annoyed me too, but I think Serena is awesome. I just heard something on ESPN today about her sister being murdered -- I'd never heard that before.

I'm a tennis player and I sometimes grunt, no big deal. It's called physical exertion and you need a release. It happens - get over it.

As for Serena, she handled it well, but I don't typically find her to be too classy of a girl. I think she is a bit full of herself. Yeah, she's talented, but classy people remain humble always.

As for Maria, she's talented and HOT!!! Way better looking than Anna Kournikova (who I think has a face that looks a little like a pug) and able to win a Grand Slam as well - something Anna will NEVER do.

Can we move on from grunting? My opinion is not a personal attack on you or anyone else. I don't care who grunts, as long as I don't have to

It was a half sister of the Williams sisters that got murdered. I think it was like 6 months ago. It must have been really hard on them, especially since it was in the media for a little bit. I'd hate the lack of privacy after something like that.

Yeah there half sister was murdered actually an hour away from where i live. She lived in Chino Hills or Corona ( which is right next to one another ) but it was very sad and they handled themselves rather well considering the news media and how they act sometimes when it comes to celeberities and news.

the kind of grunting i find annoying was Monica Seles now thats true grunting. I don't do anything like that thank goodness.

He didn't do anything. It was out of context wtih the whole grunting thing. It meant basically he could do anything gross and he would still be hot.
