Question Wedding Songs

Just wanted some help from my Sorors and my NPHC Sorors....I'm getting married in August and I need help finding some songs. First, I need a good first dance song.

Second, I need a nice Father-daughter song and

thirdly.....some songs to put onto a wedding favor CD to give out. "....some Marvin Gaye, some Luther Vandross, a little Anita" will certainly turn my wedding out right!!!

Any good suggestions out there? I have drawn a blank because of wedding planning...it gives me such headaches.

Now that I think about it, the CD by Kenny Latimore and Chante Moore "Things that Lovers Do" is excellent!

Someone else asked a similar question a while back in, I think, the DST forum. You might want to do a search. As I recall, there were some excellent classic and newer suggestions.

Sandzzzz,

Call me and we will talk about this......

But some of my suggestions are:

Luther Vandross: If This World Were Mine
Stevie Wonder: Knocks Me Off My Feet
Pure Soul: Stairway To Heaven
Boyz II Men: Thank You In Advance, I Do, On Bended Knee
New Edition: Home Again

and there are other's but it escapes me right now

One of our Sorors gave away a Wedding CD as her favor

I know you asked for a soror opinion but let frat jump in for a sec

I went to to a wedding recently and the groom dedicated Donny Hathaway's "She's my Lady" to his bride and it was beautiful and worked very well in their set-up.. and she dedicated "Why I Love You So Much by Monica..so that's it and I'm out

hey ladies, sorry to crash.

i went to a wedding once and totally want to copy what the bride did.

when her wedding party was walking down the aisle, she played "that's what friends are for".

when she walked down the aisle, "the way you look tonight" was playing by frank sinatra. i thought they were really fitting songs and i also love some of sinatra's stuff so i would probably want to do that too.

there are so many great songs to play for first dances and all that it would be difficult to choose.
