How many lions do you have?

I'm sure everyone has collected or acquired a few lions over the years so how many did/do you have? and which one is the most unsual? (Phi Mus feel free to chime in too ;-)

I have 9 and my most unusual, is a small stuffed blue on blue lion whose mane covers his entire body except for his face, feet, and tail. It looks like a little blue hairball.

I still have a pride of lions. And even after passing some down, I still manage to get more thanks to the boyfriend. I think I even got a whole pride from my parents one year. There had to be 8 or 9.

My most unique and special is one my father gave me. He pledged a service fraternity, but couldn't understand my need to pledge a social sorority. So the day he brought home "longfellow" was a special moment for us. Longfellow is an older stuffed lion with a very full mane. But the best part is if you squeeze him, he says "hello my name is Longfellow". It rocks! and coming from my dad, it was almost as if he finally understood.

I probably have about 10-15...but some have come and gone over the years!

I think my best lion story is when I was in HS I was in a terrible car accident....as a gift someone gave me a lion...I took that lion everywhere with me and slept with it at night(sounds childish but the accident was so horrible the lion gave me security)...then when I went off to college and joined ADPi...I was so excited to hear our mascot was a lion! Only problem is I named him Lucas because that is before I knew of Alphie!! haha

I gave many lions away when I graduated, but I still managed to have thousands of them. I proberly have around 15. That isn't all stuffed lions though. I have a lot of ceremic and wooden lions. My family seems to always bring me lion stuff. I could easily make my classroom into a lion theme, which is exactly what I am thinking of doing with all of them.

The most special lion was the one that my drop letters came on. My official diamond sister and I were never very close. I got all the stuff that the rest of my pledge class got for initation. The main thing being my drop letters. I was very close to another sister that adopted me as her "lil sis" and she is actually the person I refer to as my diamond(big) sister. Anyway, after alomst being initated a year, Karen called me into the office one day and said she had something for me. She gave me a very tear jerking card that said how glad she was we met, etc.. She then gave me a lion. After a while, I realized that te lion was wearing my drop letters. She even got me unique ones with a pearl on them. Seh said that there was no one elase like me in the world so she wanted me to have a drop letters lie no one else in the world. And guess what, no one has ever had drop letters like them!! I passed that lion down to my lil diamond when I gave her her drop letters and she did the same!!

I have a few...not as many as some of you, and a number of them are packed away for now until I have my own home (which will probably not be for at least 5 years or so ), but the ones that I do have 3 out in my room. One is a lion I picked up while back helping my collegiate chapter during FR as an alumna, and I took that one to the hospital with me when I had my surgery last year, so it's travelled quite a bit. Another one is a Ty one (not a beanie baby, but has the Ty tag and everything) that I was given while in the hospital, and the other one is the Ty Pluffie that Honey told us about last year, and my <> and I bought each other's when I was back there visiting last October, so I couldn't say that I have a favorite or anything....all my lions are special, and I'm sure when I have kids that lions will be an inportant part of the nursery decor

I couldn't agree more!! Noah's ark, centered around lions, will be my theme...which may be sooner than I expected.

My "pride" is quite large and ever growing, because my sons know about Sir Fidel being so important to Phi Mus. A mom's gotta love the gifts her boys give her !

I think in the stuffed category I have about 3 dozen. In the photo, wall hanging and decorative it is about another dozen. I was even presented with decorative lawn ornaments

I have 9 !!!

My most special one came from Sherra! It's so cute and it totally brightened my day!!!!! I was on my way to work and stopped at the back door... I wasn't sure if it was her or not, but I thought it might be and sure enough it was! We talked and hugged and it was really exciting for me I also have a lion that is holding a little graduation cap that is actually a mini picture frame... I think when I get my cap/gown I will put a pic of me in there

ETA : OMG Sherra!!!! Please elaborate

I have a garbage bag full of Alphies that take up half of my bed at school. I think I have about 10 of them and I keep getting more every semester and event.
